I've played against Darboh. He is pretty good. To bad Dowling can recruit like a college. I am from Ankeny so yeah I dislike him. It's surprising how we are so good and not have very many players recruited by Iowa or ISU. Atleast we got Brandon Jensen though.

wow. its really tough to say about young iowa kids. the reason why in state walk ons do so well is largely in part to mediocre high school development.

So to judge how good these kids are going to be when they are ready for college is really arbitrary at this point in their careers. 2012- does that make them sophomores/juniors? There are very very few kids that have come out of iowa that were studs as sophomores that turned out to be studs in college.

Not that it matters, but werent we one of the first to offer him?

Maybe. Not sure. I can tell you that I've been telling cimd about him for a long time, not that it matters

I just think he's one of those guys we probably needed to secure immediately.

Gavin Glenn lost all his receivers. We will have to see what he does this year before we call him a top prospect.

For 2011, I'd add:

Rathmacher, DL, Roland-Story
Zimmerman, OL, Huxley
Krieger-Coble, TE, Mt. Pleasant
Carr, DB, CR Washington
Loveless, WR, Solon
Caston, Ath, Ft. Dodge
Hinkhouse, OL, Valley

Why is this too bad?

OK, I coach OL at Dowling and I've never heard of Hinkhouse so he must go to a different school.
