What would be better? I know this means a lot less revenue than we currently have, but tell me, what option doesn't mean that? I figure that it's better than ending up in C-USA or a full MWC with teams like Colorado State weighing down the bottom of the league.

Of course certain options are better than others, but that doesn't change my feelings on the situation as a whole.

Of course we could be a dominate force in a mid-major conference RIGHT NOW.

Then, let's see what happens to recruiting in 4 years.

Chip Brown from OrangeBloods on ESPN right now saying Texas met together and they are saying "The Big 12 is dead" and that the 6 teams from the South will be joining the PAC-10 (including Colorado). Saying Texas said "They tried to save the Big 12 but they were unsuccessful"

Although this guy appears to be vomiting from the mouth on live TV- this is BIG stuff. Said this is all going down and will occur in 2012.

Holy crap

Somewhere around 75%

I mean recently. I know we've split with UNLV over the last couple years, we lost last time to TCU. I realize BSU isn't MWC, but a potential add ... Lost.

We'll see with Utah and I guess Air Force.

Who am I missing. We've beat Wyoming in the not too distant past.

BTW - this could really make our non-conference schedule interesting, couldn't it. In a year or two, a few of the teams on the slate might be conference foes.

Edit: We're 2-2 versus the MWC since 2000.

Wait so all 6 south teams plus Colorado? We need to pray Mizzou stays put or the Buy-Outs are voted out. We need 4 teams to stay to get paid.

Alright. So should this be right then:

-Sounds like Mizzou is SOL
-Notre Dame said, "No, thanks" or "We're waiting"

So it looks like a couple of things should shake out:

-PAC-10 will officially invite BU, UT, TT, aTm, OU and OSU
-This leaves CU, KSU, KU, Mizzou and ISU

The next big question is does the Big Ten, the SEC, or ACC respond to this by moving to 16? I would hope that the SEC would strike first:

-SEC pulling 4 from the ACC
-ACC responds by scooping up the 8 football schools of the Big East

Should that happen, Notre Dame's hand is likely forced:
-ND and Mizzou to the Big Ten
-CU to the MWC

That leaves the Lonesome Three: Iowa State, KU, and K-State:
-I think we're going to see just how "tied" K-State is to KU
-If KU can be freed of K-State (and from what I understand, it's not so much a legislative thing, but a tradition thing) then I can see Iowa State and K-State to the Big Ten and K-State and Boise St. to the MWC
-If not, then I'd look for Iowa State, KU, and K-State to join CU in the MWC.

That leaves a big question mark over Boise St. Does the MWC go for Boise, a football school and not much else, or Iowa State who isn't necessarily that condusive to MWC "footprint." It will be interesting to see how things play out. Could be a wild ride.

For I! For S! Forever!

Doesn't the NE board of Regents have to approve the move yet? It sure sounded like that in the one ESPN article where the regent was interviewed. Could they be kidnapped and substituted with body doubles?

So, is anyone else listening to 1460? Steven Sipple is basically calling BS on everything Chip Brown has reported about Nebraska.

IF true then college football isn't run by big schools any more or even conferences. It is run by corporate america and TV. These conferences are TV conferences...nothing more and nothing less. It isn't about tradition or proximity or student athlete experience. College $port$. F it.
