The MWC conference will never cut Wyoming loose. That would kill some long standing rivalries.
You are correct though. They don't really bring much to the table.
agreed. add the best mwc teams and then, depending on what happens with the big east, we could add louisville, cincy, etc. memphis could also be an option with a solid bball program and a football team that isn't horrible
There is a Mountain West Channel.

Cup half empty? Or cup half full?
Not exacty the way I envisioned it, but the outcome looks pretty much the same. So again, I ask, why all the weeping and wailling and gnashing of teeth? The final chapter has yet to be written!
There is, but it is on DirectTV, not basic cable like the Big Ten Network or the Pac 16 network will be. Also doesn't pay out much per school. I don't know the exact number, but it won't be anywhere near the $20 million figure talked about with the Big Ten/Pac 16 networks. Probably not even close to the $7.5 million ISU currently makes.

All of the old rules, especially honesty and decency, are out the window. We are to the point where it is pirate law.
What is ISU going to do about wrestling? You know, the sport that ISU is best known for, and the one that we are presently best at? As far as I can tell, there are zero MWC teams that have wrestling.
If the MWC doesn't offer wrestling, ISU is allowed to join another conference (Big 10?) for wrestling, or compete as an independent.
When we all know what ISU's place is in this mess...THEN you can come back here and slap our wrists for crying wolf.
Until then...wait in the corner please.
