Sure they do. Sure. I've never seen someone talk out both sides or their mouth more than Texas is doing right now.

I found this interesting, considering Jon Miller and Steve Deace do not believe their will be a significant economic impact to Ames or Central Iowa if the Big XII dissolves:

WACO ECONOMY COULD SUFFER IF BAYLOR DOESN'T JOIN OTHER TEXAS BIG 12 TEAMS

Waco-based economist Ray Perryman estimates "sizable economic losses if Baylor is separated from the other Texas Big 12 teams."
On a statewide level, Perryman estimates that Texas' economy would take a hit in the area of nearly three-quarters of a billion dollars annually and suffer the loss of 5,764 jobs.
In Waco, Perryman foresees a potential decrease of nearly $200 million in money changing hands for tourism (restaurants, hotels and motels), television revenues, sponsorships, and the like. He also estimates a loss of nearly 1,700 jobs in the Waco area if Baylor is pulled away from the other three Texas Big 12 schools.

I get the feeling it's more talking out of their mouth and *** at the same time. One thing will turn out to be true; the other is pure baloney

Notice how the Waco Trib talks about the impact of Baylor out of the Big 12 may have on the Waco community? This is surprising to me because according to the media in Iowa, ISU leaving the Big 12 will have no impact on anything.

Nor, apparently, can the media in Iowa do anything to report on any element of the situation as it relates to ISU other than "LOL" or "How do the Hawkeye fans feel about this?"

is it because we have great fan support? baylor doesnt have enough fan support as is and there would probably be an even worse drop off in ticket sales, etc if they dont play UT, TTU, TAMU, especially in basketball. fan support probably has a lot to do with it
