Big East would be the most fun to watch in Basketball. We'd get some serious coverage out East, and it would push our program to be better playing with big boys like Cuse, UCONN, Georgetown, etc.

Seriously? Big East. To those concerned with geography and distance, pull out a map and check distances....

I'm guessing we're supposed to assume they'd both be "BCS" conferences if the MWC expanded but that was not stated in the original post.

The only concern with the Big East would be it's long-term viability, especially in football. Would we be walking right into a new hornets nest of expansion talks when the SEC and ACC inevitably start to tear at each other? We could be in worse shape 5 years from now.

The Big East, if stable, is by FAR the best option right now.

If the SEC expands, it'll be raiding the ACC, not the Big East (they're looking at Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida St, and one of UNC/Miami/VT).

When this happens, the Big East is a conference that is much more desirable than the ACC.

I think what the Big East has more to offer in terms of prestige and history is better than MWC

If that's the case let's sign up.

I am a solid supporter of Coach Hoiberg and expect him to succeed in rebuilding Cyclone basketball. But, could you imagine this past season if we had played BB in the Big East. (laughingstock would be spelled in capitol letters.)
