Is there any way this guy continues to ref in this world cup? Lalas said it best - "He was a disgrace". I think replay needs to be implemented into the world cup just for reasons like this.
Screwing American teams by injecting politics into world-level sporting events is actually encouraged. I expect that not only will he continue to ref in this World Cup, he will be lauded for his outstanding performance.

Offsides is not a judgement call. You are or you aren't. Replay could easily apply for offsides calls. In any case, I think the goal was disallowed for a foul rather than offsides.

The whistle was blown before Edu even touched the ball. The call was a foul not offsides.

To clarify, THH said it was a judgement call which should not be subject to instant replay review. He then went on to say that the goal was disallowed for offsides. I was pointing out that if it had been offsides (and not a foul), as he believed, I would disagree with his opinion that it was a judgement call.

Yes. If FIFA even thinks about allowing this guy to ref another game then the US must take action. I think that the UN and NATO would have our back.

In order to receive calls down the stretch we need more hooligans to
follow our team. Honestly any self respecting European team's fan would
of burnt down the stadium by now.

Offsides is usually the side line refs job, and it looked like he called a foul before edu's kick. I couldnt see any fouls other than the holding fouls on Slovenia.

Very true. I am shocked the England keeper that allowed that "soft" goal against the US isn't 6 feet under by now. Their fans are freaking crazy. Then again it wouldn't be the first time that an opposing player was murdered after a loss to the United States in the World Cup. Just ask Colombia.

I said it was offsides because that's what was on the screen during the game. Obviously, ESPN (and thus I) had it wrong. Fouls are always judgement calls, and in this case, homeboy made the wrong call.

You, Me, ESPN and everyone else were searching because it was a terrible call. I had no prob with you saying offsides cause I thought the same thing. Even the players and coaches didnt know what the call was.

I started to hit up some of my regular spots on the web and found the answer.

Was it really necessary to resort to namecalling? I'm far from the first person to suggest the US tends to get screwed in international competitions.
