It should be abundantly apparent that these kids love playing for CPR. And he loves them. That's not everything about winning but believe me it is part of the equation. It's sort of like having your family on the sidelines. His feelings toward his team are on his sleeve and they read that fact. No aloofness nor phoniness.

ISU has won 8 of the last 14 games. Last time that happened, DMac was here. CPR is the second coming of DMac, but more aggressive and with way better game day coaching.

Rhoad muffed a chest bump with A-Rob after a touchdown because he was so excited. It looked dorky, but he didn't care because it was all about the touchdown, not him.

We are so proud to have him coach this team!

It looked like Knott went running straight to CPR after his second int.

How would a young man not love playing for him?
He's obviously competent (and really, very good).
He's passionate.
He cares about his kids.
He makes it clear that he respects them.
He's the kind of guy that is just built for leading young men (and making older ones want to follow him). Today would be another good day to send a thank-you card to Auburn.

I think this has already paid off big for the program, and will so much more in the future. As a parent it has to be good to have a coaching staff that cares so much for their players.

kind of a corny story, but in one of my classes the professor was asking why we chose to come to isu and one of the football players stood up and yelled "Coach Rhoads"

If Iowa State is to become a CONSISTENT competitor year in year out and when the culture changes in Ames to expecting to win, it will all be because of Rhoads. I'm 101% sold on him. We need to keep him for a long time. Off topic but did anyone see the Jim Tressel look-a-like in the stands? Do we have anyone like that? Anybody out there who could pull off the CPR look?

Klatt mentioned a few times last night that he'd love to play for Rhoads. As the program establishes a record of success, I think that will pay off big for us.

And having former QB/national TV announcers stating that they would love to play for Rhoads can't hurt either...
