Damn

Mistakes, penalties and that ***** overthrown pass...

It does get old and I hope we keep improving cause this will look worse against most the rest of the Big 12.

Is there still anyone else thinking 6-7 wins?

Come on Coach, your going to have to do some real work this year!

i went to iowa city last weekend. With 3 of my (ISU student) roommates. They all wore hawk t-shirts and cheered for iowa. I told them they all had no balls. I literally got into a fight with one of them because he refused to wear any iowa state stuff and got on my nerves cheering for iowa. He constantly kept giving me **** for losing.

I had no comeback.

Im a fan. I didn't think my post on here would cause such a stir. I apologize for freaking out.

tell me why i should cheer for iowa state opposed to iowa. Just straight up, as if i hadn't been an iowa state fan since i was 7. As if i didn't get on CF every day for the past 2 years. As if i didn't have season tickets. As if my dad and i haven't been going to games since i was 7.

Don't tell me being an iowa state fan is tough. Being a fan shouldn't be tough. It should be fun. Winning is fun. I love watching iowa state win. But why stay when there is better teams out there? :(

Then just go already. If a college FB team losing is causing you this much angst, then you need to be a Longhorn, Gator, Sooner, Buckeye, or Tide fan. There are several teams out there that don't lose much. Just pick one and get on with your life...

Never been a huge fan of AA, always thought he was mediocre at best. He plays well if the game is going well and we have good momentum, but I've never thought he could be a "game changer" and get us back in the game if we lose momentum. And say what you want about his completion %, but I'd venture to guess that if you look at his % beyond 25 yards, it's pretty weak.

I'm not hanging it all on AA, he's never really had a great receiver corps. Every ISU great in recent history has had at least one standout receiver. Sage had JJ, Seneca had Danielson, Meyer had Blythe. AA has ??

I was out of line, but your comments make no sense. Maybe they win because they don't tolerate losing?

Are you suggesting that being an iowa state fan requires me to be tolerant of losing? If so, this losing stuff will never change.

I don't disagree about our lack of talent, but who else would you put out there?

I guess I dont understand why Rhoads said Durrell Givens would start from Day 1 at Safety when he arrived to campus and now he is redshirting??? Is he not good enough??? Hurt??? Mansfield is 260lbs and playing DT??? Knott should be playing DE next year after adding some weight---he plays at a way slower speed that Klein at LB. Sandvig should be calling plays in with a clipboard---I'm not sure how he sees the field at all. Neal looks like a safety on a blitz when he is lined up on the DL.

I hate to pile on AA, because he is so tough, but, he just can not hit a guy down the field. Most of the time he can't find them. I am assuming that Tiller just isn't ready to go. Maybe they will start him against UNI and rest AA.
If we want to pass, we need JT. If we want to just run, AA will be okay.

If AA has no touch on his throws as a senior, he will probably never have touch. He also does not move around in the opocket to find open throwing lanes.

You take Thomas off KSU's team and put him on ours ISU wins by 10. He's that much of a difference maker. ISU's problem is we just can't seem to get out hands on a game changer like Thomas.

So, other than Givens, who else would you play? I don't disagree with your observations, I just think it's pretty easy to fall into the trap of assuming that putting in different guys would make us better. I just don't really see any better options.

Put it quite simply. ISU is not a very good team. The QB for ISU is god awful.

I did not notice this. Can anyone verify?

Lol, Arnaud's projected to have 6 TD's and 30 INT's this year on ESPN.

Loyal sons forever true...and we will fight that battle through. Except if youre a Cyclone fan, then you'll just hang it up after 3 games and quit. I hope our team has this same mentality. 3 games in, might as well just go ahead and quit.

My comments make plenty of sense. I'm simply telling you that if you are going to flip your lid every time your favorite college FB team loses, then you should cheer for one that doesn't lose very often.

They just straight up multiplied all his numbers (except for percentages, of course) by 6. Real scientific there, ESPN...

Correct on all points.

Posters ask why ISU doesn't run screens and other misdirection stuff to open things up. Those kind of plays often require the QB to accurately throw a finesse or touch pass. ISU has a nice kid at QB who can only throw the ball hard and not so accurately. That kind of limits what the offense can do.

Next QB in...

Seriously, the sky isn't falling. Yes, this game was hugely important, and yes we look pretty bad right now, but that doesn't mean we can't rebound to have a decent season... which, with this schedule, would probably mean 5 wins. Just trust CPR... he did the impossible last year.

You're right, it could be even worse than the projections considering our competition is (aside from UNI) only going to ratchet up from here.
