He's a UNI alum, what else would you expect? He's been a closet Hawkeye forever.

Oh I know. It just gets old. You would think he would be a little more politically correct being a head coach but he really isn't. Listen to his interviews before they play Iowa. Listen to them before he plays ISU. Compliments/*** kissing vs backhanded slaps to the face

Well, we just served him a nice glass of "shut the **** up". Hope he likes it.

He said SFA was the best team IN OUR DIVISION that we would play this year.

And who's to say we weren't better than ISU last year? Our 1 common opponent was Iowa, and you guys got crushed at home, and we come within a hair of beating them at their own place.

Kind of beside the point, but didn't we both play NDSU as well? We beat them fairly convincingly and I seem to remember UNI losing to them.

I watched two UNI games on TV this year.
Conclusion-UNI not good.
We'd have probably won without making a first down, which apparently we tried to do.

UNI sucks.

I think this is something we can all agree on.

The only other fan base I can think of that would say, "we let that one slip away," after being shutout 27-0 is the Hawkeye faithful (or unfaithful if we are talking about Lois)

None of us should be surprised that UNI fans would think the same way.

The bottom line is that Farley is a huge ****** bag with a napoleon complex.

It is funny, though - the way Farley is flapping his lips ripping ISU you'd never know his team just lost 27-0 to that team he has no respect for. Perhaps your team played overall a better game than ISU did - but that's a claim you just cannot make after you are throttled and held scoreless. Then again, when his team loses 41-0 against ISU and he's still of the opinion that UNI was the better team no matter what the scoreboard says, as someone else said, it's idiocy like that that's the reason why, with the success he's had at the FCS level, that he hasn't moved up the food chain. Nobody else wants somebody that unhitched coaching their team.

Name the big number of FBS transfers that make up UNI's recruiting???? The last 2 recruiting classes have had had zero FBS transfers. Couple I can remember recently are Fiacco from ISU and Whitney Lewis from USC 3 or 4 years ago. Hardly a big percentage of recruits

You're right, they don't have as many transfers now as they did a few years ago. Maybe that's why they aren't as good. They made their biggest runs with an assist from transfers from ISU, iowa, Nebraska, OU, USC. All I'm saying is that I don't think Farley's recruiting translates to 1A.

UNI did not play a better game than ISU, if they did they would have at least ******* SCORED! Farley ought to be appreciative of ISU, since we pay his salary by allowing his team to come into Jack Trice every other year. If he really wants to run his mouth, then ISU can just drop them and pay the guarantee money to SDSU or NDSU.

Another quality post from you... Wouldn't expect anything but this from you...

Uni lost because of turnovers... Our defense played better then their offense. Our offense no matter how crappy scored 13 points. More then their offense. Plus, UNI had two longer drives because ISU had pick 6's and the defense had to go right back on the field again without rest.. So actually, their offensive stats are misleading too because of this.

Yeah they might of had more yards, but we scored twice on defense, resulting in offense not getting a chance to play...

How come it is so hard for you to understand football??

Very true. But they averaged 4.8 YPP and we averaged 3.6. I'd say they played better offensively than we did. They even ran the ball more than they passed.

UNI was riding pretty high the last couple of years. They beat us in 2007 and almost beat Iowa in 2009.

That loss set them way back. They needed to at least try to keep it competative and that did not happen.

It's amazing some people think UNI played better than ISU. The final score didn't indicate that. If we would have lobbed the ball up in the air as many times as UNI did, sure we would have had more big plays and more yards. We also would have had more picks and you have a much closer game.

Mark Farley is good guy and I've heard him speak several times. Most of you have way too thin a skin if you can't handle what he said about the game. He's simply trying to appease his fan base and there's nothing wrong with that. Not sure why some ISU fans are bothering to listen to a UNI call in show after this game other than to gloat.
