I forgot about that one. I never go in there because its nothing but Husker fans.
Lot's of Iowa fans are there as well.
I do believe it was Gene Chiziks favorite place to hang out as well.

**** NU and all their fans. We're supposed to welcome the fans that wanted to watch the B12 burn and ISU with it?
Is this an all guy bar?Des Moines has a Husker bar, it's located in the East village called The Blazing Saddle. Check it out!
One place to go downtown in Des Moines would be the High Life. They were on Man vs Food and serve bacon wrapped tater tots. I've never had them, but they looked great on TV. Shag carpet on the floors, a sit down table top pac man game, its straight out of the 70s
I honestly don't think their fans had anything to do with the decision.
But hey, stay angry. Soon you will die of heart failure, and I can eat your supper.
Hickory Park is way over rated, not bad food but not great, and not to mention its too damn loud in there to carry on a conversation.
Hey guys, I'm making my first (and my last, at least for football) trip to Ames this weekend and I was looking for advice on things to see and do in Ames and Des Moines which is where I'll be staying Friday night. I don't know any ISU fans in person, but I had a few sit next to me at our game in Lincoln in 2005 and they were great to be around, I'm hoping for a similar experience this weekend. Good luck to you guys on Saturday, here's hoping for a good game. GBR
From a fellow Husker fan, welcome to Central Iowa. Not sure were you are coming in from, i'm guessing Lincoln or Omaha, but there is a Valentino's in Ames. The Chicken Coop Sports Bar at the intersection of EP True Pkwy & Grand Ave in West Des Moines is the Iowans 4 Nebraska HQ's.

They are used to it, except NU fans are such ******** they take their losing out on their players such as the verbal abuse to Niles Paul.I hope that these guys DON'T have a good time in Ames. They're just making one last tour of the conference to **** on every spot before leaving. I say good riddance. The Husker fans and the hok fans deserve each other. In fact, I think that I'll help prepare those fans for IC in a few years by bouncing a couple of beer cans off the heads of husker fans who walk by our tailgate. Unlike IC, I'll at least make sure the cans are empty.
Win or lose, husker fans, don't expect to go through this weekend unscathed. You're going to get some verbal (and maybe even physical) abuse.
