Warrick Dunn isn't the same Warrick Dunn he used to be. His career isn't going to last a whole lot longer. I wouldn't be surprised to see McFadden in Atlanta because I could see them having a top 3 pick and McFadden being the best player available. As of right now, it appears that Miami and St. Louis might battle it out with them for the top pick, and neither one of those two teams are in a position to draft a RB that high.

You make a good point about HB depth. It's too bad that they kind of wasted that pick on Brandon Jackson. At least so far.

Your right about dunn. But I do think they also have a ton of issues that are probably more important to them than running back. Deangelo Hall will probably leave them because of his realtionship to petrino. They have alot of wholes to fill and hopefully they dont take him. I know thompson wont trade up to get him but he would be so cool and fit this packers team well. I wonder what the packers issue with running the ball is. they didnt seem to have that many problems like this last year. and i agree with you that we wasted that 2nd round pick on jackson. I didnt think he was all that special with nebraska. They should have traded that pick and there first rounder to move ahead and get adrian petersen. mcfadden and petersen are special running backs and thats why I would like him so much. If it doesnt happen next year it will happen on Madden 09

Tavarius Jackson as your saviour?

You are kidding, right?

I hope that is your plan as we play you twice a year.

He sucks.

After that game I don't know about you guys, but I am glad Peterson isn't at Oklahoma this year.

me to. i dont think we will win that game whether he was there or not this year. But hopefully the packers can get a running back with his ability, or some offensive lineman that can run block

Just like Green Bay's running game. Your Packers best find a running back before the cold weather hits, or it's going to be an ugly Nov/Dec for y'all...

I love it. The stars are back in alignment. 4 weeks into the season and Vikings fans are already focusing on how the Packers could fail and not on how they could win games. This is what I am used to.

Without a running game, it's not a matter of could fail, it's a matter of are going to fail. Enjoy the warm weather!

If the Vikings defense is so good (Vikings thread)... how could the Packers dominate the game without a running game?

The run game does need to improve and it will but this is a pass first offense. The need for a running game decreases with the passing game the Packers use. A lot of their passes can be considered runs with how quick the routes are.

10 different receivers caught balls yesterday, 9 of which had multiple catches.

First, I never once said anywhere in any thread that the Vikings defense was good. Passing is still passing, and when it is cold and blustery, like Chicago and Green Bay can be in the winter, passing often doesn't work so well.
