Might depend whether its he's done immediately or whether they let him coach out until the end of the year. Dont need a repeat of what our team did for Mac's last game.

This is the truth. If he is gone I hope they don't have let him finish out the season. While I doubt the kids have the respect for him that ours had for McCarney, I think they'd still play their best for his last game. Plus with a new coach we don't know their tendencies (Give Cody passing yards) as well.

I think they always play Nebraska on the day after Thanksgiving. Well, always until this year is finished.

Hey, this just struck me. Will they be playing the last game of the current Big 12, or will Texas and Texas A & M play later in that day?

The last game of the current b12 will be the championship game.

As far as regular season goes, the last day of games will include:

Sat, Nov 27 Oklahoma State Oklahoma TBA
Sat, Nov 27 North Texas Kansas State TBA
Sat, Nov 27 Missouri Kansas 11:30 a.m.
Sat, Nov 27 Texas Tech Houston 7:00 p.m.

So the last regular season conference matchup will most likely be Oklahoma State-Oklahoma, unless OSU-OU starts at 11am, in which case it will be MU\KU.

As far as Texas\TAMU, they play on thanksgiving day.

What I do like about this, is the fact that this occurred early this week. Mac coached 2 games after announcing his resignation. One of those games was getting bludgeoned by a terrible CU team in Boulder. If Hawkins is still there, those guys are going to have zero focus this week. If a new guy takes over, it's still going to be a miss this week. They might get up for the Gipper next week, but I don't see it happening Saturday. Doesn't mean we'll win, but I think this is a very different circumstance than what happened in Mac's last game.

For sure. Hopefully we can hold onto him until the new TV contracts comes through. Also, hopefully the new TV contracts actually come through.

I think you pay him under the assumption they will come along. It's worth the risk IMO. Besides that, how could the money not come? Good lord the ACC is making a bunch of money.

He will be given a raise at the end of the year. He deserves it. The question is, how much? $1,800,000?

Hawkins hung in there as long as he could, but the KU disaster was just too much. You know he has a huge ego, anyone else would have not even got on the plane back to Boulder after giving up 35 points in 12 minutes against the worst team(maybe second worse) in the conference.
