Poor kid...the people around him have let him down. His own dad has used his kid for his own well being...sad

BTW I hate Eugene Chizik.

I could get on board with this, but unfortunately never happen....:skeptical:

I still hate that the NCAA penalizes the school usually after the fact when all the wrong doers are gone and got what they wanted....

The NFL just needs to create its own Minor League. This would ensure that the athletes who want to be in college are in college and those who do not want to be in college aren't. It could be like baseball now, with college teams still getting a lot of talent, but the minor leagues still offer work and a non-college route to the pros.

If asked, why would Newton volunteeringly sit? If he is eventually found to be ineligible Auburn will vacate all of their wins anyway this season. Newton will have no benefit from sitting down. It's not like the NCAA will just overlook the previous 9 games and let Auburn compete for the NC (and keep it later).

Now, if the NCAA tells Auburn that they have hard evidence and they will eventually be making an official ruling then it may be in Auburn's best interest to tell Newton he's sitting. A little good graces now could really reduce that suspension later. Who nows, if Auburn scoffs at the NCAA now, they may be looking at a lack of institutional control from this. To me, if evidence is presented to Auburn that their player took money and they did nothing, that seems pretty close.

The problem is that Cam Newton may be as white as snow. What if he had no idea what was going on? What is some booster just happened to make a substantial donation to Daddy Newton's church? Is Cam, Chezik, or even Auburn itself responsible? Right now there are lots of questions and no definitive answers.

Please tell me you are not serious. No idea what was going on? If they were asking for money, they didn't just ask one school.

Perhaps he is as white as snow. Perhaps he has no clue as to what's going on. Then again, he had his heart set on going to Miss St, is then told by daddy that he must go to Auburn, and then sees daddy rolling in a little bit of cash? $200K is no small chunk of change.

Sorry - I'm going to go out on a limb and say he knows what's going on.

You also have to remember that Newton is a 20-21 year old young man who probably has no idea what his father's financial status is. I know when I was that age I had no idea what my dad made money wise or where his money came from. All I knew is that my dad was there for me and that I valued his opinion. This can be the same for Newton presently.

What is she "asking" for??

You to mow the lawn, all 20 acres of it. Except for not with the riding mower, but with the push mower, because it makes better lines and your lawn has to look better than your neighbor's lawn. And it has to be done now, even though the game is on, because it is supposed to rain tomorrow.

Au will not get the death penalty for this. Chizzy will probably come out aight, he might have to vacat alot of wins though. Heisman and NT are over with if it becomes true.

I would bet they get something close to what USC got.

I am right with with if you meant you were of the age up to about 12, after that most people are aware where their family sits in the financial scheme of things. That directly impacted what I chose to do after high school and beyond. Maybe my family was more open than most when it came to finances, I don't know, but general comparisons to those around you(what you can and cannot afford compared to others) give you a pretty good idea. I will have a hard time buying that he had "no" idea what was going on...if this ever comes to prove guilt.

haha.. I don't think thats the same thing.. According to Miss St, and you can argue that maybe they're flat out lying (I doubt it), he told them he wasn't going to miss st because "the money was too much" from auburn.. he said his dad made the decision. I dont care if he didn't get a dime of it..

I actually hope they don't suspend him until after the bama game.. because I want that team to get exposed at full strength.. it could even happen against georgia. Best case scenario.. Bama lights them up on saturday, and sunday the NCAA drops the hammer erasing the rest of their season. On monday morning, Chizik has a press conference about how hes going to be there for the team to get them through this.. Monday night he announces hes taken his dream job to coach toledo.

Might just be the perfect weekend.

Chizzy flameout at Auburn begins while CPR leads us to victory and bowl eligibility for the second straight year.
