WOI video shows the shot should count

I just watched the video of the shot on WOI news. JVB clearly released the ball before the horn sounded. I replayed it several times and even asked my wife. It was clear the horn did not go off until the ball left his hands.

well, the horn is as irrelevant as the light around the backboard. The only thing that counts is the clock saying 0.0. And even that is irrelevant as we won the game. Also, ever heard of light being faster than sound??

It was clear at regular speed to me that he probably didn't release it in time, but none of it matters anyways.

After seeing a couple replays, I'm more comfortable with the validity of the call than I was upon returning home. One thing is for sure, it was damn close, and you could see the refs making the call either way.

Yeah... combine that with the fact that it probably shouldntve been tied up to begin with, and i dont feel that bad about it. Especially with the fact that it wasnt like we were down 1 or 2, all this meant was winning vs going to overtime, where we could have just as easily won there.

Perrault's too busy crying on Twitter to stop here.

Wish I could see video of Godfrey's "block" and Ejim's "foul" and ask him how he thought the officiating was on those.

That said, the officiating was **** poor both ways.

Someone please call in to their show tomorrow and take him to task on this issue and that the bogus calls leading to CU tying the game offset the potentially missed call on the final shot. Its always said that the bad calls even themselves out. Well, it feels like we don't get our fair share of "evening out," so I don't feel bad about this one at all.

If there had been replay, it would not have counted. I'm not going to complain though after Godfrey's obvious charge blown call and Anderson getting his arm ripped off on the free throw rebound.

The clock is reading 0.00 with the ball still in hands.

And it is just as apparent that the horn did not sound until after the ball was released. What does that mean? It means the clock, the red light and the horn are not in perfect sync. As a referee, I would think that you'd have to rely on the horn since your eyes must follow the ball. I know, it doesn't matter since the call was made. I just wanted to point this out to those who say it was obvious the wrong call was made. It's not as obvious as you think.

I've got the video from cyclones.com stopped at the right moment. Not sure how to post it, but the ball is still in his hands and the clock shows all zeros.

Honestly I could care less that the shot was a tad late. That call on Melvin was beyond pathetic he honestly didnt lay one finger on him. The shot should have not mattered anyway the game should have been over right then and there.

well please figure out how to do a printscreen and get that on here. The other 20 pictures already posted haven't convinced me yet, but I'm sure yours will!

i have links on espn.com, cyclones.com, bluejaycafe.com, ap, dm register-that show that ISU won. Do you need these to convince yourself of the outcome?
