I am doing an internship in this semester and will be commuting from ames to west des moines every morning.. I will be in the car a lot. Any suggestions on good podcasts? Id listen to sports podcasts, but I don't see how they could be that great since the only good sports stuff is only good if its up to minute fresh...

Right now I listen to mike and mike and like it.. but 1700 the champ comes in really bad. Any suggestions?!

Thanks

The only straight sports podcast I listen to is the Dan Patrick Show since I can't listen to it live and can't always watch it. They split up each hour so if you only want the last hour you can just wait to download that or whatever.

Other than that I also listen to NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" which is a comedy news quiz. Diggnation (a couple of guys sitting around drinking and talking about tech news), Windows Weekly, Cyclone Fanatic, Uncontrolled Airspace (Aviation), This Week In Tech, Weatherbrains, and Leo Laporte The Tech Guy.

There is a very good chance that CF will be producing two podcasts per week from here on out. Hopefully I'll have some news on this early next week. One will be the regular Williams and Blum production and the other will hopefully be announced next week. Big news if I can get it finalized.

What I listen to (among others):

-The Pod F. Tompkast- Paul F. Tompkins podcast, which has his parts of his comedy act. Very funny, especially "The Great Undiscovered Project"
- The Bugle- The Daily Show's John Oliver & fellow comedian Andy Zaltzman take their look at the news of the week in the "audio newspaper for a visual world"
- The Tony Kornheiser Show- The podcast of Mr. Tony's daily radio show in Washington D.C.; If like PTI, you'll probably like this
-NPR Cultretopia- Collects the best arts (movies, music, TV, books) stories from NPR. This includes the great Pop Culture Happy Hour shows.
