Anybody know who ISU had for recruits at the game and how they enjoyed their visit? I'm sure the game didn't go as everyone wanted but maybe the recruits will see that if they come here they'll have an excellent opportunity to play right away.

I saw Zach Guyer from Johnston. But they were over by the student section, and I just saw him as I walked by.

Hopefully they think that way. Anything is an instant upgrade.

I was really impressed we had that many fans at the game during the beginning. You really can't blame anyone for leaving early with that kind of weather down that much. Hopefully the recruits feel the same way.

Berryman was sitting in front of us, we could introduce the recruits to him. On that topic, why is that moron showing his face at ISU games anymore?

Do you really have that big of a problem with Berryman? The kid did play for us, even though he was dismissed, and he has every right to come and see the team, especially since he knows a lot of the players. I've always thought that Berryman got what he deserved, but he never seemed to be a bad person. Just a normal kid who made some dumb decisions, and rightfully paid for them.

Agreed. Talked to the guy several times and was a really nice guy. He made some terrible choices and deserved everything he got, but he was a Cyclone and we should treat him as such. He did some exciting things and I am glad we had him while we did. I'll never forget his performance at Houston. There are a lot of kids out there that have done far worse than him. Can they still come to games?

I'm surprised that Berryman is still apparently at Iowa State. He really didn't transfer to some other school to play football?

i think berryman got more than he deserved. they made an example out of him. i too talked to him a couple time (while still on the team) and he is a good guy. he is more than welcome at any and every IState game in my opinion. and if you disagree with me i will come break your car window.

The weather wasn't intolerable. I do blame the fans who were gone before the third quarter started. That is pathetic.

I agree, that was horrible... I was able to sit down in the student section after the half. They didn't have much to stay around for... after Texas went up 42-3 in the middle of the 3rd quarter, I had to leave early myself. First time I've ever done so.

I just hope Chizik can get some good recruits in in light of this horrible season. I'm encouraged of the play of the young OL... maybe once we flush some of these veterans out of the system that aren't playing up to their potential, some of the guys really wanting to play can show their stuff next year.

Yesterday was the first time I kind of compared McCarney to Chizik and how they would be doing. Everyone says that we have such bad talent, but with similar talent last year, we never even came close to taking a whipping like we did and we have almost the same schedule. We played Texas tough in Austin until Parker's personal foul penalty last year. I don't know what I'm trying to say, but yesterday's game shouldn't have gone down the way it did.

If I remember correctly, we lost to Baylor last year. We didn't lose by more than 50 points, but losing to Baylor at home is a whipping in itself.

That was two years ago, in 2005.
yeah and we had a little help from the refs in losing that game. if i remember correctly, tony johnson crossed the goal line by about a yard, then fumbled, and they gave the ball to baylor on the 20.

Yep, that is a good adjective for what I saw on the field.

No one's saying that the on field performance wasn't pathetic. It was one of the worst and most disheartening performances I've ever seen by Iowa State. But fans leaving by halftime is equally pathetic.
