I list 2 because I grew up on a farm equi-distant (4 miles) from either. McIntire was our address as Meyer is too small (pop. ~23) for a post office. It does however have a Saab Dealership (Meyer Garage | McIntire Saab | New and Used Dealership for Northern Iowa). McIntire has ~150 people and 2 bars.

I grew in Southwest Iowa (the armpit of the state as its known to most) mostly in the Malvern/Glenwood area.

I'm familiar with the area, I love it up there. We own a condo about 30 miles North of Hayward, Wisconsin and we spend around 1 month out of every year up there. We boat around the Apostle Islands on Lake Superior quite a bit and we make trips to the Duluth-Superior area quite a bit.

In fact I'm leaving after class on Friday to snowmobile up there!

A lot of people from Le Mars like to complain about Blue Bunny because the city bends over for them.

They seem to forget that Le Mars would be a ghost town without Wells BB.

Dike - graduated in the last class before it turned into Dike-New Hartford. At ISU I learned to just say I grew up near Cedar Falls because the whole girl-from-Dike joke got ooollld. To add a little salt to the wound I actually grew up on a farm between Dike and Stout, in Beaver township. Look it up on a map - I am not making this up.

I am the least athletic female to every walk out of that school back in when they owned volleyball championships every year.

My husband is from Breda in Western Iowa. When we got married I considered the 'Dike Woman Marries Breda Man' headline above our wedding announcement, but decided the humor might be lost on most people.
