Dike - graduated in the last class before it turned into Dike-New Hartford. At ISU I learned to just say I grew up near Cedar Falls because the whole girl-from-Dike joke got ooollld. To add a little salt to the wound I actually grew up on a farm between Dike and Stout, in Beaver township. Look it up on a map - I am not making this up.

I am the least athletic female to every walk out of that school back in when they owned volleyball championships every year.

My husband is from Breda in Western Iowa. When we got married I considered the 'Dike Woman Marries Breda Man' headline above our wedding announcement, but decided the humor might be lost on most people.
Not only do the Dike jokes get old real fast, if I try to tell anyone where Dike is, they don't know where it's at. That's why I tell them I'm from Cedar Falls.

I grew up just a couple miles from the Beaver Township you're referring to.

Cedar Rapids
Marion...you would be surprised how many people don't know where it is or haven't heard of it so I usually just say Cedar Rapids.

that cheeto is a gift to the world, its compares to the Mona Lisa or the invention of the incandesant bulb.

besides, its not nearly big enough to fill you up.

Wouldn't eating the worlds biggest cheeto make you the King of Hefty people?
