Great interview questions Chris. I enjoyed how candid Matt's responses were. After this interview, I've got to admit that I really like this kid. He may be young, but I think he has the potential to be a really good recruiter. Of course, I may be a little biased as I'm 26 years old in a position a bit over my age also, where I've constantly got to prove that I should be here. I particularly liked what he had to say about how good Tavon Sledge can be, as well as his comments on Royce White. Sounds like Royce is really doing well in our system and staying out of trouble. This interview gave me a lot of comfort in Royce.

Awesome interview, CW. I wonder how many assistant coachese out there actually LIKE recruiting? There are a lot that are good at it, but somehow I doubt that it's their favorite thing to do. MA is going to go nuts on the recruiting trail. Without Lutz, I do have concerns about Xs and Os, gameplanning and strategy, but getting talent shouldn't be an issue. IMO it is VERY important to make sure Rutter is happy.

I think that interview shows why Matt is so great at relating to recruits-he's the definition of a people person.

Thanks for the positive response everybody. Just so you know, I am filling in for Miller & Brinson on KXNO this afternoon. Matt is going to be on the show at 5 with me to talk more about that stuff, along with the NBA Playoffs, etc.

Wow, good interview. Between Matt, T.J., Mann, and Fred I think we are going to be bringing in players with talent we havn't seen before as a freshmen.

Fantastic interview! I'll admit I had some doubts about him, but not after reading that. His confidence is contagous (sp?). He got me even more pumped for Sledge and White. I'm excited about other kids he will be able to bring in.

CW, you need to make Matt A interviews a recurring thing on this site. That was probably the most open and insightful interview I've seen here.
