Surprised McGee isn't higher since he got first team juco all american and Hubbard was second team. So I would've thought he'd have a good shot at top five.

We're already getting hit with the "Hubbard had more interest from big schools" thing.
Really? A final four of Iona, Jacksonville, Nebraska, and Iowa is big?
McGee wasn't available in the spring so comparing offers is even more stupid than normal.

Anybody else look at the list? There are a whole bunch of B12 teams; just about every one in fact. The B12 is using JC's a lot more than other conferences.

The #1 guy on the list is 5' 10". Juco's aren't what they used to be.

Pretty much. If you're struggling in high school or not quite good enough nowadays, you go to prep school instead of junior college. It allows you to grow as a player and get academics in order, without your eligibility clock ticking for every year you play. So over the last several years, the talent pool in junior colleges has gotten significantly worse as the prep school talent has grown. You see fewer and fewer impact guys from junior colleges every year. So if McGee is really only the 15th best junior college player - and, really, I doubt they put too much effort into these rankings - I think many around here are going to be disappointed.

Last year Will Clyburn was ranked the 53rd best JUCO in the country and he ended up being one of the top 3. The guy that ranks these doesn't even see 1/2 of them play

Clones85,

Actually the guy who ranks the players does see them all play. How do I know? Because I do the rankings and run the site. I agree that there is no exact science to ranking players, but to be in the top 20 in the country you have to be pretty good.

Could you give us your opinion of McGee and Hubbard(Iowa)?

Brad, you have traveled all across the country to watch these JUCO kids play? Must have a ton of frequent flyer miles built up!
