Percy! Percy! Percy!

Really disappointed in CG, as I really thought he had a lot of potential But, as one really smart comedian put it: "you can't fix stupid." In all seriousness, I wish Calvin the best in whatever he finds next - hopefully it doesn't spiral too far downward. He blew a good deal with us

Sucks, but time to move on...

Alcohol is much worse for you. Those guys would probably be goofy and reluctant to grow up without weed. Do some real research on it, not what the D.E.A. says and you'll find some rather shocking stuff.

This isnt about whether pot is good or bad for you. Weed is illegal, until that is changed people will continue to get busted for it.

Hmmmm.... I always seemed to remember drugs being illegal and bad. Guess what.. Never tried them. No need to try them. No desire to try them.

Alcohol is a different story. I did that when it was illegal for me. Why?? Because after a certain age it is legal.

I know many guys that smoke weed. Most of my friends started in high school and to be honest, they still seem goofy and reluctant to grow up.

Not all drugs are the same. Weed, in my opinion, is harmless and can be a great time. Some of the most successful and wealthy people I've ever met (multi-millionaires) enjoy a joint now and then. Just because it's illegal doesn't mean it's bad.

You should try it.

Had he been caught with heroine or angel dust, I'd say throw the book at him.

Yep. It should be treated the same as alcohol- dont care if you drink, just dont let it get you involved in a different crime, or let it affect your performance academically or athletically.

More and more people have come around to the fact that it should be legal, and especially since its a potentially huge moneymaker for taxes, it will be legalized in time. (and, fwiw, i dont even use marijuana. i just think its dumb that we spend so much time and resources on something fairly harmless)

No thinking allowed, eh? Anyway, obviously weed is not a big deal, but gettting arrested and in trouble multiple times in your first year is. I don't think the coaches had faith that he would ever stay out of trouble and keep his grades up.

Sucks to lose Godfrey. We really need another big man recruit now. This probably means Ejim continues to see minutes at the 4.

So this is a crushing blow to ISU Godfrey was playing well maybe not even be a 500 team now. How damaging is this blow to this team? So much for depth now... in the PF spot.

This is an interesting point, but the only (ONLY) reason it will ever become legal is because a majority of 535 idiots in Washington who can't balance a checkbook and have no business making laws for us, see it as another source of income...

most of which is confiscated from Americans!

Potheads, please don't derail the thread. I love doing blow off of hookers' *sses, but I don't feel the need to advocate for the legalization of said behavior every chance I get.

Pot is illegal and appears to be for the foreseeable future.

Step off your high horse for a second. I would bet a lot of money we have several other players on the team who smoke weed. Same goes for every team in the country. Godfrey just happens to be the one who got caught.

I would agree that he's an idiot for getting caught, but i don't think that was your point.

Foolish assumptions

yeah it does, cause it is ILLEGAL!

someone doesnt get the difference between immoral and illegal. just because something is illegal doesnt mean it is immoral. this would be one of those situations.
