I'm guessing they might have most of their offers out already though. Texas and ATM know who they want and are mostly just vying for the highly sought after recruits. The teams we have to worry about more are the second tier Texas schools; TCU, TTU, BU, and to a lesser extent SMU, and Houston. They are the home state teams that usually jump on our commits later and try and sway them to stay closer to home. You rarely see Texas and ATM jump on a high three star/low four star late, at least not recently.

I think you would be wrong about that. Mack Brown cited early offers and early commits as one of the reasons his season went south last year. He's supposed to be taking a more deliberate approach to recruiting this year, which is why he has "only" 16 commits to date and is not filled up like he usually is this time of year. I can only take the man at his word until he proves otherwise.
Why were they still evaluating this WR as late as yesterday if they've already done all that? Just killing time?
I would like to welcome this young man to the ISU family and say I am glad he is a Cyclone! He looks like a great reciever, and I hope he grabs 10 touch downs a year for us. It would be very nice in the red zone to have a big, strong reciever to throw to in the endzone. That will balance the stable of running backs and small, quick recievers to give our QB plenty of options.
This kid sounds like a nice compliment to some of the WRs we've picked up the last couple of years. It's nice to have guys who bring variety to the table.
I am going on the assumption that the new recruiting coordinator for ESPN was making some improvements, but you're probably right. I guess I just get more frustrated with Scout's inability to maintain an up-to-date list of prospects and commitments.
Don't get me wrong, I still think Scout is terrible but it's not because of the evaluation part. It's because their site has a terrible look and is hard to use.
