Nope, I drive a Jeep Liberty. I don't mess around when I pass, I get by the cars as quickly as possible which is common sense.

passing multiple cars at a time at speeds approaching 100 mph is not common sense. Quite the opposite, I'm afraid. Better hope no one in one of those cars in front of you shares your warped idea of "common sense."

If I'm going 60 mph and I'm getting passed, I'd much rather be passed by someone going 100 than someone going 61mph.

I don't know if a Jeep will go 100 though.....

So you're one of those "passive" drivers who barely gets on the gas when passing cars? To me, that is way more scary, get the job done. When you have completely open road in the passing lane with no approaching cars, get the job done quickly to be safe.

Got that baby up to 103 mph before... but exactly, get the job done! It doesn't matter if I pass one or 5 cars, I put the pedal all the way down every time I pass until the pass is completed! That is safer

umm no. There's a huge difference between passively driving, as you describe it, and passing up 8 cars at a time at 100 mph. It's not an either/or scenario. There's plenty of middle ground there, where passing can be done quickly and safely.

For your own sake, I hope you get caught a few times by some enthusiastic cops.

No sir, I have been driving for over 7 years

Well, I guess we didn't realize that you are a seasoned veteran. 7 years, you must be half grey by now. I once saw a graph that plotted how much one knows (constantly increasing line) and how much one thinks they know (quick rising line, peaking at at 18, declining from there).

You don't understand how far ahead you can see at some of the flat parts of 2-lane HWY 30...

I'd say that's a pretty impressive record especially considering the majority of those years were my teens.

No sir, I have been driving for over 7 years and have never gotten in an accident and have only received one speeding ticket. When on HWY 30 on 2 lanes and you have traffic backed up 8+ cars deep and there is an opening you have got to jump on it. Passing aggressively is way more safe than passing passively and not getting on the gas pedal.

Previous dumb *** claim confirmed. Thank you.

Yes I do. Driven that road many times. All it takes is one of those 8 vehicles to attempt a pass at the same time you do, and it's done. Maybe they didn't see you. Maybe they didn't anticipate you were going to pass all 8 cars at once. But, at 100 mph, you have less time to react.

There's a line between being a savvy driver and just being flat out reckless. I normally drive 5-10 mph above; it allows me to get the job done getting around slower traffic and still move with the flow, so to speak. 100 mph is borderline insane

The Jeep Liberty doesn't get up to 100 mph right away... it's by the end of the pass... I've driven the route literally hundreds of times, I have it memorized, I know what I'm talking about.

Don't let them get to you cyco, I'd take someone passing me at 100mph every day over the ***-clowns that I see on 235 texting, talking on the phone, driving in the left lane, etc.

your boasting and braggadocio suggest otherwise. Hell, they don't just "suggest" it, they "insist" it.

again, there is a middle ground between the two. You can drive effectively without being a maniac. Liberty Belle, apparently hasn't learned that lesson yet, despite his whopping 7 years of road experience.
