Being that we just had a wrestling mafia game just had throw out there that tonight CM Punk had one of the best endings to Raw that I have seen in some time. WOW.

I am sure they totally told him to "shoot" his speech and to keep on going till they "had" to pull the plug.

The thing is CM Punk is probably the most talented under-pushed guys in that company...I am just wondering where they are going with it...

That's half the fun. We all know they OK'd it. Pulling the plug adds that illusion of believability, because you'd have to do that if it were real.

I think they're sort of rehashing his old ROH storyline, the one where he finally did win the ROH title, and then turned on the fans, except that he's the "villain" from the beginning this time.

I heard wrestling is SO staged.
Wraslin' is nothing more than a soap opera for rednecks.....

THEY TOOK HIS JOB!

See if he's really gone in three weeks, then we'll know how "real" this was.

Portions of that seemed to go beyond the usual fare of an episode of "As Pro Wrestling Turns" but then again they could have cut the mic at any time.

I happened to watch this live which is basically an accident because for the first time in years I'd stopped watching Raw because it's gone from normal bad to stupendously, gruesome, awful.

Lots of buzz from that, not a CM Punk fan, and if it was pure shoot I would be shocked to see him back. I would expect him to win the title though at the PPV and maybe play the free-agent card with the belt.

If he is done, I hope he has fun in Mexico or Japan. TNA is a WCW clone, with wrestling not being the primary focus either.

Just curious, does WWE have to get trademark clearance to market CM Punk merch that shows his Pepsi tat or his GI Joe Cobra tat?

What's awesome about that is everything he said is true. Wrestling today sucks and after Vince passes it will get worse because Steph and Triple H running things behind the scenes will be a joke. I just hate how "kiddie and PG" wrestling has become. Punk mentioned Paul Heyman. I wish Heyman could of have the power and resources that Vince has because if he did wrestling would be so much better.

I've wondered about that. Paul never seemed to be able to organize things long-term. He would need some real help in managing things while he did creative stuff.

But he is more creative than Vince. I think the declining buyrates lately are forcing Vince to push things a little bit more, kind of like he's been teasing a new Attitude Era for a few weeks.

But either way, CM Punk owns the Internet today.

The worse thing that happened to pro wrestling was WCW going under. WWE since has had no competition so there is no need to change things up. WCW and Monday Night Nitro were a big reason why there was an "attitude era" in WWE.
