So you're saying that UT is like the bully on the block pushing the smaller kids around. Then when the smaller kids find out why the bully acts the way he does they realize it's the overbearing father (ESPN) of the bully that is truly the one that is causing all the problems.

In a way yes.

I am basically saying that Texas has taken out a 300 million dollar loan from ESPN. ESPN now has Texas by the balls. ESPN wants their money and if Texas can't give it to them then they will extort (force other Big XII schools to have their games against UT televised on LHN) basically forcing their fans to get the LHN. If they don't then ESPN makes sure that the BIG XII implodes and everyone in the BIG XII suffers. LHN hasn't been picked up by anyone... ESPN stands to lose a ton of money on this deal and that isn't going to happen if ESPN has any say in it. Texas is in a contract that they can't get out of. Texas is screwed if ESPN doesn't get what it wants and in turn.... the BIG XII is screwed if ESPN doesn't get what it wants. When Texas inked that deal they mortgaged the future of the Big XII, not just their own. ISU's athletics future is now tied to the success or failure of the LHN and we have nothing to do with it. We have the most at risk if it fails and we reap none of the reward if it succeeds. Texas bent the entire Big XII over on this deal and now ESPN is stepping in to do the deed. SCREW ESPN!

LHN has been picked up by at least one cable provider in Texas...FYI. More to come I'm sure.

With Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Baylor even turning it down this isn't a unity thing.. its a dividing line

My thought is K State may be thinking better grab a payday now as there may not be one coming next year as Aggies are good as gone. I doubt if they are doing this to **** off OU, OSU or Baylor. ISU, KSU, and Baylor may face some challenges in years to come.

IF ESPN gets their money then the Big XII will be spared. If they don't we are screwed. Pretty much as simple as that.

Texas isn't pushing the LHN and and what programming it will show down the Big XII's throat... that is ESPN. If we are mad at Texas it should be because they were stupid getting involved with ESPN in the first place for the LHN. They opened the door for ESPN to tear the Big XII apart and it is as simple as that.

You may be jumping to conclusions just a tad.

Just because fAggie is leaving does not signify the end of the Big 12

What I was trying to suggest is that a prudent business person takes the bird in the hand instead of speculating on what the future may hold, and does not leave it up to chance. Jizz jar U is going to do what they are going to do. So is Texas. So is ESPN. This is all about having the College National Championship as a warm up to the Super Bowl. The media does not care who gets run over to get it. They are looking for their payday.

Spoke to someone inside Aggie Athletics today. Most of the head coaches are not pleased about potentially leaving the Big 12.

Travel is one of the issues. They're not sure about A&M losing its close games (TX & OK). Would player families travel? Recruiting problem?

However, the coaches are reportedly very tired of the Longhorns bullying the rest of the conference even though A&M has built a solid brand.

Good grief. Maybe they should start beating UT and winning some bowl games then rather than running to a different conference.

You don't hear OU talk like this because they aren't Bevo's b*atch

They like their jobs, probably all be on the chopping block in three years if they go to the SEC and go 5-7 for three years.

Beat them and who cares, OU plays second fiddle yet beats them more times than not.

I love how Texas just stuck out their middle finger at A&M, pushing them even more out the door. It's like they're trying to break up the conference.

Take it for what it's worth, A&M held a private dinner for their top boosters last night. Boosters were told Aggies, OU, Mizz, VaTech to SEC

Just more crazy talk out of A&M. They truly are certifiable.
