So, in other words, all we have is the same sensationalists spewing out every scenario under the face of the sun as we did last year when the world was crumbling beneath Ames, Iowa?

A&M wants to leave, SEC doesn't want to look like poachers, nobody knows anything but rumors.
The most unfortunate piece of information I have learned in this thread is about the aTm jar ritual a couple hundred posts ago or so. Wonder if they sent one to Mike Slive and that's when the SEC vote took place...
So moral of the story is, if the NCAA says no to something, you can just show 'highlights' :wink: of it. Maybe they could show highlights of individual players while they are at it, and intersperse commercials about how great Texas' football is and how to sign up for the football team?
Poor Texas? What? Did I read that right? Poor Texas? The program that already makes more than any/most (whichever one it is now) other program(s)? The program that makes ~ 3x what ISU makes? Even if Texas breaks the contract and has to pay half of what they make for the next 10 years to ESPN, they are still doing better than us. I feel nothing but schadenfreude for Texas.

No kidding, this is simply over the top. Getting tired of ESPN putting the Big 12's future in the balance as they try to find ways to justify the ridiculous contract they gave Texas. Seems like a better Approach would have been ESPN4TX - A regional network that featured Texas and paid them per appearance and then ESPN could have done whatever they wanted when it comes to programming. Branding it the Longhorn Network appears to been a major mistake!
So, this summer is more reliable than the last one how? I mean, to create this much MORE DRAMA! about the subject?
Unless the NCAA becomes the NFL Jr., which it won't because of the non-profit status, this is basically one of my favorite plays "Much Ado About Nothing."
