I think there are many fans that have speculated that Steele was going to be the QB for a long time and wish that they would just hear more solid confirmation on this.

I thought it would be Jantz after the spring game, but I doubt that barnett will be ahead of Tiller. I think the coaches have a little more respect for him than that even if he should be below of Barnett.

Nope. Two reasons:
1) That thread has legendary potential.
2) That thread exploded on the notion that we were getting the word by Wednesday. It's much more breathy right now, since we all have to wait for the answer.

I could offer a third: Most of that speculation is contained within the megathread. This QB thing has had almost-daily threads since about March. By this point, it surely doesn't need more. There isn't anything new to add.

I think it would be best if it went 1. Jantz 2. Barnett 3. Tiller. I thought Tiller was decent, and played a nice game last year against Mizzou (even thought we got shut out). It is obvious that he has been working hard to try to improve his game, so if he is third one would have to think the other two were solid to take that from him.

That said, I think it it more likely we don't have a clear number two and Tiller and Barnett share that spot, both seeing the field.

Does anyone think this will be announced before the scrimmage?
