I have no idea why more people haven't picked up on that.

These people are seriously ****ed up and have horrendously misplaced priorities.

Actually, ESPN is vehemently opposed to 4 super conferences. That's why they created the LHN.

Al you are a pretty reasonable guy, and one of the best posters on here, but you are dead wrong.

ESPN and fox want four conferences, but they also want the biggest and the best schools like UT, osu, mich, ND, etc. to have the chance to get their own networks. National brands mean more markets.

They signed UT because they were the first ones available, and they don't give a **** what anyone thinks of them. The hope is that the others see what a network can mean for them, and then they create their own.

It is all about weakening the NCAA and BCS hold on cfb. Get an alliance of four conferences, and you can create the playoff system that many want, and the advertising revenue goes off the charts.

And that's not even to mention the complete logic fail in the whole "letting the ones you have slept with" thing.

No the reason for the LHN is to get in bed with Texas big now so that is they go Indy they own them and if a conference wants Texas...which they will...then they will have to take them with espn's strings already attached. From a business standpoint only it is a brilliant move that is it's own insurance policy and investment at the same time.

If they wanted four conferences, I guaran-*******-tee you they don't say they will leave the TV deals for the Big 12 the way they are and step up, with the billion dollar deal from Fox and the LHN from ESPN. THEY DO NOT WANT TO PAY FOR SUPERCONFERENCES. It's just like TEXAS WILL NOT GO INDEPENDENT. Of course no one can say these with 100% certainty, but the evidence is pretty strong.

#Big12 can't survive w/o #TAM if must have the #NotreDames or #BYUs. Id prefer #sooners put up dukes & scrum n #SEC. But #Pac10 more likely

the rumor making the rounds now is BYU made the descision privately to remain INDY

I've read that. If it's true we must go raid the Big East now and hope we can pickup 3 schools.

If they actually do that, then they are clueless and have no place at the BCS table. BYU is lucky they are getting an offer. The big 12 could just as easily go grab some big east schools and leave them high and dry.

Oh, wait, they think they are set as an independent. Uh, until the Big 10, big 12 and other conferences move to 9 game conference schedules. LOL Are people forgetting that this will happen?

BYU better move while they can or be relegated to non BCS insignificant bowls and games the rest of their existence.

The key word being rumor. At this point everything tossed out there is nothing but rumor.
