Who is the guy that starter this rumor or KU, MU, OU, and OSU to the PAC 12, just another blogger? I read the post and it said the PAC would then eventually go to 18 when Texas and Texas Tech decided to join. I am of the assumption that the 16 league conferences will be 18-20 as pointed out in several reports.

I think it is pretty funny that had A&M simply worked with Texas a few years ago in creating a network they would still be here. It now looks like the big problem A&M had was not the LHN itself, but the fact that they missed the boat on it and when they asked to be partners last year in the network Texas said "too late".

Not funny at all, since that scenario would put us in the MWC or MAC.
WRONG. First the MAC (or CUSA for that matter) will never be in play. If you think that, then you are letting the Eastern Iowa media brainwash you. Second, ISU will be in Big East if we can't find a viable 10th team.

As for AD's talking to other conferences, they are stupid if they aren't. They have to have a contingency plan, but all nine's first priority is staying in Big 12. So any time you see any story or tweet about an AD or administrator talking to another conference, they might be right, but it doesn't mean that a team is planning to leave behind the others' backs. It means they are devising a backup plan in case Big XII is unable to find a viable 10th team.

I, for one, am tired of Texas stealing our recruits with their money and gold-plated toilets.

I heard a rumor that if Texas were allowed high school games on their network then they were allowed to sign 40 scholarship recruits per a year.

Just in case: :jimlad:

If you consider, what - 2 for 25(?) accurate. About all he got right last year was Nebraska to the Big 10 and Colorado to the Pac 12. And it's not like he was alone in predicting that...

Texas in the SEC would help us with a ton of leagues, in some respects. SEC would probably stop at 14, which would keep the Big East intact, and push us that way.

Will never happen though. Texas won't align their academics in the mental cesspool that is the SEC.

For those of your relishing ISU in the Big East you need to step back. It will eventually be a bigEast a LOT different than today. If you want to see ISU's future without the bigXII, then combine every Big East and BigXII team and take out the 10 teams you think are the most exciting. What is left is ISU's future conference without the BigXII.

That totally depends on who goes where, if anyone goes.

If you see a mass migration west, and the SEC goes to 14, I think the Big 10 will stay put for the most part. Outside of Notre Dame, no one will make them money.

The Big East might lose a team or two, but any of their schools are capable of being decent in a given year.

The whole damn thing is so fluid that making any kind of certain prediction is probably foolish.

.

Caseville is way more fun than sixpackville.
Maybe Anneheiser Busch or whichever Euro company bought them could be our new league sponsor. We could have Brewville outlets at JTS. Cenex man could become Beerman. No wonder we needed such a big videoboard. We could show a suds commercial on the VB and fill the concessionaires in a heartbeat. The Big Pack has potential.

Agree, if MO, KU, OU & OSU go to PAC, UT Independent, SEC takes VaTech then ACC takes Louisville (or other BE team) that leaves BE with 8 football schools and 4 Big XII schools without a home will go to BE (ISU, KSU, TT & BU). This would give the BE 5 schools in the central time zone.

Many ways this can work out but ISU ending in the BE would be acceptable considering we have no control over the power players in the Big XII. Like OU and MO and probably everyone else we are more than likely in discussions with the BE in case the crap hits the fan - I'm sure JP is all over it.

You guys are giving way too much credit to frank the tank. Heck he even admitted it should be taken with a grain of salt.

I see no reason that the BE would not expand to 12, 14, 16 in football given a chance. Now for bball admission, maybe they will take fewer schoolsm, but if you already have 20 schools, what's the diff for 4-6 more schools? It all comes down to the tournament in bball. You could do a five day 32 team bball tournament if you had to.

THAT IS UNCOOL AND UNFAIR!!!! WHY SHOULD THEY GET MORE ADVANTAGES?!?!?!?!? THE RICH ARE GETTING RICHER!!!!

I guess we're OK, if they don't get all the way to LHN-Ocho. Or maybe we're not. So confused.
