UNI you are one of the few that has been with me on this from the beginning. The forgotten 5 were drunk on haterade when NU snuffed out the Whorns last year. Anyone who didnt see this coming, i feel sorry for you.

If being right means being aligned with you two I don't think I want any part of it.

with 8,000 posts I don't know if this has been discussed or not - if TAMU joins the SEC doesn't that give them 13 teams? Isn't that a very weird number? Maybe they are not done and want to get Mizzu? If offered I bet Missoui'd take that deal. Man, what if they go to 16 teams and take KU and KSU too. Jesus, we'd really be screwed.

So much for our aggressive expansion plan.

We just need to hope that invite is still open to the Big East. IcSyU said a source from ad believes it is a 30% drop in revenue. I will take that over the MW. Beer sales can curve the difference.

No one has any idea what the drop is because no one has any idea what the Big East will look like or if it will even exist as it is now. It could split in 2. They are redoing TV deal now.

Now that i think of it... Remind me what that tigerboard poster you were talking about said the other day.. 'mondo' i think it was.

Still holding accurate or no?

He said MU would announce they were exploring their options by Monday or Tuesday, I believe.

Unfortunately, the Big East at best is what you just described. In reality, it's merely a short term stop before the Big East and ACC form the final super conference. At that point, I don't like what things look like for ISU. I'm holding out hope that OU is just venting frustration right now with Texas and their power. If OU and Mizzou are heading somewhere together and that's why we saw the balls from OU and Pinkel today, we're in Big Trouble.

He's been pretty much dead on on that site from the get go. He just posted tonight saying the following:

'things will unfold next week like he said before. MU will follow aTm's entrance to the SEC with their application and TT, OU et al, are safely headed to the Pac xx when that happens.

Also, Deloss is furious that OU isn't toeing the line and Chip Brown is saying whatever Dodds tells him to say, so basically, you can write off what Bevo Chip says as Dodd's BS.

Of course, the same could be said about me, passing along what Mondo wants, but I think Mondo has been straight up with me.

BTW, you won't hear anything more of significance from Dodd's proxy Beebe. BYU said thanks but no thanks. It was really the only hope Dodds had of keeping this mess together.

There will be work over the weekend, but this should be all but concluded next week.'

There is no Big 12 without expansion, folks. How could the Big 12 function as a conference next year with only nine teams (assuming no one else leaves)?

Sounds to me like Oklahoma has some sort of reservation on the expansion plans. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a classic Beebe "are you in or are you out" ultimatum moment that snowballs the end of the conference as we know it.

I'm guessing the expansion plan put forth does nothing to solve the problems in place. It's no coincidence that on Friday PM the Big 12 implosion rumors cycle up full throttle again and the LHN also puts outs out plans for a second conference game on LHN.

The more I think about Chip's latest article, the more I absolutely loathe Texas. I honestly believe I actually loathe them more than the Cubs and all of the New York teams.

If you are Jamie Pollard right now, I think you have to say **** the money and jump to the Big East (if the offer is there).

Yeah, going to the Big East may not be a good decision financially in the short term, but being in a BCS conference in the long term is far more important than TV revenue.

The Big East should be relatively stable, at least for a while, and the remnants of the Big East/ACC will likely make up the 4th super conference - get into one of those leagues while you can.

Who says a Big East with KU KSU ISU and Baylor does not bring solidarity to fend off the ACC? If ISU goes to the Big East there is no doubt they will be part of that superconference.

This is why, if I were AD at Mizzou/KU/KSU/ISU I'd jump to the Big East (or SEC in Mizzou's case) in a heart beat.

Essentially, Texas is royally ****** without the Big 12. They would be forced to either go indy and kill all their non revenue sports or go to the PAC 12 and lose the LHN - either way, ****'em, they lose all the power they treasure so much.

We're not going anywhere unless the conference officially dissolves. No way we take the risk of TV revenue being withheld.

I don't understand wth happened. When I went to work six hours ago, it was between two options: 1. BYU or 2. Louisville, Pitt, WVU.

We'll land on our feet with Geoffrey and Pollard at the helm. OU may consider us "wallflowers", but I highly doubt that is the case.
