Sorry for being bitchy but I am just at the point where I think we have the fanbase, the coaches, the AD, the president to compete with these south teams and hand it to them once in awhile. We have Texas coming to town and I think we have everything in place to give our guys a chance to beat their ***** and really take a huge step and instead we got David Boren running around like a lunatic. I was there against Iowa last week, and for the first time since the early 80's I felt like we had turned the corner in the fan support area. I was at Texas last year, and I was there when they lost to Drake in the 80's. I have sat my *** in that stadium and witnessed too many *** kicking and I have poured too much into this thing, along with countless others, to see SMU and Cincinnati roll into town instead of Texas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. We finally after all these years have it moving the right direction. It just infuriates me.
Punishing the rats leaving the ship in conference games this year would be nice. The UT game should be packed with people voicing their opinions.

From the same fanbase article, we'd be 12th out of 13 in the Big 10 (ahead of NW, of course), 13th of 14 in the SEC (Vandy), 12th of 15 in the ACC (MD, NC State, Wake Forest), and 7th of 13 in the Pac-12 (including ahead of Utah and Colorado).

You have to give the B1G credit they have marketed really well. The top three teams in the nation belong to that conference. To bad they don't put a great product on the field.

Big East football ADs reached out to Big 12 on Sunday to begin merger talks in case OU-Texas departure becomes official.

Absolutely on both counts.

What it says to me is that the Pac-20 conference idea that people are throwing around isn't quite as crazy as it sounds. ISU, BYU, KU, and Boise would all be no worse than 8th in the current Pac-12.

Also that Baylor is in deep trouble.

On my BB, I have been falling into ads by mistake left and right. CW should have a good month.

Watch this happen....

Texas/Tech will back away from the PAC but instead of rebuilding the B12, Mizzou/KU will take that opportunity to replace them as the other 2 in the P16 and we'll be F'd again.

Don't think so. KU has always wanted to stay with Texas. If Texas doesn't go to the PAC I don't see KU taking their place unless Texas turns around and joins a different conference without KU. If Texas wants to stay in the Big 12 KU would be there too and I would think MU would be also.

OU-Texas knew they'd be admitted to Pac 12 before letting it become public, right? I hear otherwise. Arm-twisting time for Larry Scott

Well that's interesting.

I remember an old saying that goes something like: "An opinion is like an a-hole, everyone has one." Well, I've contributed 72 of them in this thread, I must spreadin' the poop real good. Of course, I don't compare to some of the posters on this monster.

Same thing was said regarding A&M.
Most SEC presidents weren't on record as being against, or at least extremely cautious, of adding new teams. Also needing all 12 votes to add members could be a hurdle if only one school doesn't like a school for whatever reason. Not saying the B12 schools don't have votes but I could see Stanford or Cal looking down on T Tech's academics and saying no to them.

I saw this rumor earlier this morning that said that no one was ready to recommend OU, OSU, Texas, and TT to the Pac12to the current members yet.
