Sorry. I think you must participate in all sports in the big tweast. ND- in or out!

Well if Notre Dame has to get in or out, and they choose out, then I'm okay with adding both 'Nova and Georgetown in BB to get to 16. Really, the only other consideration would be St. John's, who I guess you could take instead of one of those two.

If this thing happens, ISU will become the next WVU. We can win a lot in that league. There will be hurdles, but winning can help everything.

The only downfall of WVU in the NWO version of the Big 12 is we get to deal with Bob Huggins again. There are few coaches I despise more than him.

Oh well...it still would be a pretty sweet conference. Dare I say, too sweeeeeeeeet!

Wow ... talk about a possible incredible hard football schedule if it includes the current members of the Big 12. YIKES!!!!!!!

I actually could like this....a lot!

So we get five new BE teams with $5MM buyout. Hhhmmm.... some team will owe us about $25MM to leave. So we would trade 5 for 1. If we can rework the TV contracts (mainly bump up the ESPN) soon, I would really like this. Give us one weak team for a south rival (like iowa getting purdue -- didn't know that was a sacred rival) and have the others visit off and on so we can see them. Four non con games.

Starting to look great. Now all we need is some ******* to rip the carpet out from us tomorrow morning.

If we do somehow expand to 14 or even 16... we need to change the conference name. The "Big 12" moniker has been sullied so horribly that we have to come up with something better... even if it is just Big 14/Big 16.

Latest news is WVU submitted to SEC.

And was denied, according to Greg Swaim. But it's possible they are not prepared to do a two front legal war with both the Big 12 and Big East. Maybe they figure one of the two conferences will fold outright and they will be able to pick up whomever without penalty. Or maybe they really are waiting on Mizzou.

SO many possibilities, it will be difficult to sleep tonight...

Also heard a rumor that they weren't accepted (at least not yet). WVU seems to be trying to get out of the Big East as fast as they can now that things are starting to move.

Here's another good football school looking for a home and the Big 12 has their pants down thanks to OU's Boren, ironically, the chair of our expansion committee.

This might be me making stuff up but I believe the Big 12 licensed the name Big 14 just in case? Or am I imagining things?
