Here's what the opponents in the Top 25 on our schedule are ranked right now...

Oklahoma #3
Okie State #6
Texas #11
KSU #20
A&M #24
Baylor #25

Here's Iowa's....

Michigan #12
Nebraska #14

Iowa must have one of the WEAKEST schedules in the entire country. My goodness.

Funny how the media has been pumping up Penn State all week as if this is a big game. National TV at 2:30 etc..... between two non-ranked teams. Whoooo... big deal.

According to the sagarin ratings, we are the 4th hardest team on iowa's schedule. They are the 10th hardest on our schedule

yea we had to waste a non con game on some small time big 12 school. ;)
And lost it, what's that say for Iowa and the Big 10. Typically Big 10 is a tough conference, this year there isn't a logical argument for that. There is Wisconsin alone at the top then there are a few mediocre teams (Michigan, Michigan St., Nebraska, & Iowa) The rest are horrible and that includes the disgraceful Ohio St.

And Texas would be the hardest team on Iowa's schedule this year... by far.

People need to let this crap go. How many times is it going to be rehashed? We have a tough schedule; Iowa doesn't. Let's move on...

Yet they will claim they are the better team even though we so the head to head. It makes me sick, the Big 12 is somewhat competing with the SEC as best football conference and the Big Ten is competing against the Mountain West. Yet the Big 10 is still "the better conference" according to hawkeye nation.

Correct. There's no way Iowa should lose more than 2 games the rest of the way. So at worst they'll end up 9-3, go to a Jan 1st bowl game, and they will believe that they are actually a good football team again.

Iowa State is a better football team than Iowa this year. But with our schedule, we'll be lucky to finish 6-6 at best IMO.

The Big 10 is just awful. Wisky is VERY good. After that, nobody is that good. A Big 12 North team is their 2nd best team right now? A team we basically beat the last two years (if our holder could throw a pass that is).

What else is new. The big10 has been getting by on tradition and number of tv sets for years now. Remember how much the B12 North was ripped a few years ago? Especially 2005, even when ISU beat the hawks and NU beat Michigan in the holiday bowl. That's two middle of the pack B12 teams beating two of the better B10 teams that year.

A few years later the pundits couldn't ignore the big10's non conference and bowl records and starting ripping them. However, they were a few too many years late and were forced to when the b10 only won one bowl game one year. They went 4-3 in bowl games last year and are thumping their chests again, for being one game over .500 in last year's bowls. Wisky is the class of the league this year, with MU and OSU's recent struggles. NU was picked to win the league and they would have been the 5th best team in the B12...maybe. Now look at there nonconf results this year...

Now look at the B12's and tell the hawk fans that it is about schedules stupid. Be prepared to confuse them with Sagarin ratings and non conference results, you know reality.

I used to play the "if only we had their schedule" and "if only we would've XYZ against Team ABC" and "we would win 10 games in Conference 123" games. But they accomplish absolutely nothing and are a complete waste of time and energy. But if it makes you feel better about things, keep on keepin on!

The sports news at ten starts with the iowa-p st. game, when we beat iowa and we are playing a ranked team, BS.

Iowa has a bigger market share of the state than Iowa State does. You cater to your viewers.

The Big Ten is hilariously bad. Nebraska is slightly overrated, Michigan is pretty overrated, Illinois probably shouldn't be ranked. The problem, of course, is that these teams get to play a bunch of really weak opponents, so they probably won't lose enough to drop out of the rankings.

If Illinois shouldn't be ranked than neither should KState or Baylor. They have a better win than either of those two teams.
