They'll show up here soon saying that it leads to "undisciplined" play. That's an awfully hard thing to prove.
I agree. No direct correlation.
Being emotional and about your team and fighting for what you feel is "equal" treatment of both teams is different than not being able to remember a snap count or knowing how/when to celebrate a good play by you or your teammates.
Good grief. CPR is a classy coach. The Refs sucked. Call the game right and you won't get that type of reaction from CPR. Pretty simple.
(Im certainly not pro GMAC) But I remember when a lot of people were killing McDermott for not showing enough emotion toward the refs during games.

Because Rhoads has gotten physical with referees, and has acted the way pelini has to his own players?? give me a ******* break.
Oh and I forgot when has rhoads been a huge ********* to the media?
Not even close. When CPR verbally abuses players publicly, then we can talk. When the side judge has to wear a flip down face shield before he can enter CPR's bubble, then maybe you can make this reference.
Until that time, CPR is not even close to that jack-hole.

Phew... I just got back from my time machine. Originally CPR played it cool on the sidelines after those questionable calls. Afterwards you should see how the local media banged on him for not showing emotion. CF blew up with how he needs to get more passion and he's an embarrassment if he can't stand up for his players.
So I went back in my time machine and told him he needs to be himself and let the players know that you'll fight for them.

Can we get Rhoads to wear this under his gameday gear? Then when this happens he just rips off the outerwear and owns the refs?

On one end of the spectrum, you have Bo Pelini who is a thug and an a--hole. On the opposite end you have Kirk Ferentz, who shows all the energy of a corpse standing on the sideline and chewing gum. I don't think our fanbase wants either of those extremes.
CPR reminds me some of a much younger JoePa. He has energy and passion that he freely displays. There are even times when it makes you smirk and think, "Did he really just say/do that" but its not in a negative way. CPR is no where close to a--hole but he is going to let his thoughts about a call be known.
