NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.

The point of the BCS is that the regular season is your "playoff", you can't then turnaround and have them get in from a loser's bracket. Give them the Sugar Bowl appearance and move on.

I've never heard this as being the point of the BCS. I've always considered the point of the BCS to get the two best teams in the championship game.

Talk up the SEC as much as you want. Sure, maybe they are better than the BigXII, but I would much rather watch a BixXII game any day than whatever the heck that was last night. I'm just glad I had other games to switch to during the "best game ever".

I thought last night's game was fantastic. Seeing two dominating defenses go at it is good football. There was high drama throughout.

I don't get all the whining about how the game was boring. It's just a different style of play, and takes more attention to appreciate if you have a short attention span

I would compare this game to a pitching duel of two great pitchers. Both teams are held scoreless due to great pitching and defense, and you are just anticipating for one of the teams to slip up to finally get that first run. During the Alabama/LSU game you were left waiting for the big break that one of those teams needed. However the defenses were there to bail their teams out.

Anyone who was a fan of last night's game should NEVER complain about not liking soccer because "there's no scoring".

So I assume you want to see Houston in the championship?

I don't know why "excitement" is a factor in determining who gets to play in the championship.

I for one would love to see a rematch... i know bama had their shot, but if you have watched college football all year, you could see last night that the talent on the field was on a whole other level. Those are far and away the two best teams in the NCAA

Statements like this are funny. Since they are in the SEC, it's the great defense. If that were USC/Stanford it would be **** poor offense. The SEC isn't that good this year. Give me OkSt.

Can competent QB play be a factor? Because we did not see that last night. When there are guys like Luck, Moore and Weeden out there leading undefeated times, I'm not sure why people would want to see another LSU-Alabama game.

Remember, I said I do not want to see a rematch. But I'm just not sure what I want to see should be a factor in determining who actually plays in that game.

No, I do not want to see that boring struggle to score points again. Alabama lost at home, they're done. Consolation prize: Sugar Bowl

I think it's crazy that anyone would want to see a rematch of the BAMA-LSU game. Yes, both teams have great defenses. However, neither team has a particularly good offense. In fact, this problem is endemic to the SEC. The only teams to put more than 11 points on the board against LSU were non-SEC teams. WVU put up 463 passing yards against the Tigers, and they just lost and will lose their ranking. I think an OSU matchup would be interesting. A very powerful offense vs a very powerful defense and a very crappy defense vs a very crappy offense.

I just don't understand the assumption that these two SEC teams are the best in the nation. The big conference players simply don't play each other enough to reach that sort of conclusion. The BCS bowl games should be a showcase of cross conference play (it's just a shame this doesn't happen until the last game of the year). We should've learned this lesson from the tOSU and Michigan rematch discussion. I'm quite thankful it never took place.

This question was just asked to Herbstriet(sp) on ESPN. I for one say no. They had the game at home, they had their shot and lost. I would say any undefeated team should get a shot ahead of them -- even if it is Boise State. Just my thought and preference.

If they lost this game on the road I might be ok with it depending on rest of season. You lose at home and no you don't get rematch. Bcs game yes championship game, no way.

For being as hyped as it was over the past couple of months... That game was very boring.

I had to switch to the Okie State game I was so bored. No way do they deserve a rematch unless every other undefeated team gets beat. Those are 2 very good teams but I don't know what game people were watching if they think those are "clearly" the two best teams in the country. What I saw was a great a defense and a one dimensional offense. I'd love to see a Boise State or Okie State match-up with LSU.

No. The national championship should be between two undeafeated teams. I too am sick of the SEC love fest. Alabama had the game AT HOME and lost, end of story.

Wait. Where did I even mention championship in my post? I seem to remember saying I'd rather watch a BigXII game than an SEC game.
