Hard to believe we got to the line that many times. This game was very non-physical on both sides. Seems like it passed by really quickly.

only 3 from Allen in the second half so far. Got to the line 13 times in the first half, which is really good.

Agreed. But effort is still a concern.

I think that's the biggest concern of the night, honestly. A lot of the other mistakes would be made up for if that was there.

Overall, good on offense, great passing, poor rebounding, bad defense, and horrible effort. This team still has a lot of potential, but needs to have the effort that the guys showed last year to actually reach that potential. With a decent show of effort and defense this team could be a mid-level Big 12 team, but without it, we're probably in the bottom. Looking like this just isn't going to fly all year.

That being said, effort would fix a lot of the problems we've seen tonight. I don't know how to explain what's going on, but I hope Hoiberg knows how to fix it.
