help the big 12 and by default, Iowa State? Houston would be knocked out of the BCS so does that help the Big 12's chances at getting two teams in? Or would this loss just ensure that Michigan gets in?

I was wondering the same thing. Is Boise ranked high enough that they would just take the same spot?

Helps Big 12, as long as TCU doesnt get from #18 to #16. If Houston loses and TCU makes the top-16, TCU gets an automatic berth.

Boise is screwed. They cannot qualify for an auto bid. Someone just has to take them out of the kindness of their hearts.

Go USM! I'm sure Houston will get the offense going here shortly though.

Houston just tied it at 14. If Houston wins that bumps them up to a BCS game and that opens another C-USA bowl slot to an at large,it may be just six of one, half dozen of another as far as Houston winning or losing.

I'm starting to think if we lose to KState we might get a better bowl. Not saying I want to lose but a 10-2 KState should get a BCS bid if Houston loses.

If we beat KSU do we cheer for Oklahoma tonight? 2 loss OSU probably has a better chance than a 3 loss OU of getting a second BCS bid.

I think that would be the best chance. It would really suck if OSU lost and then LSU lost to Georgia. LSU still gets championship game against Bama. Georgia gets the Sugar bowl.

Im not sure but I think if the highest non BCS team is in the top 16 or ranked ahead of one of the BCS conference winners they would make the a BCS bowl

Yes...the highest ranked non-AQ champ gets an auto bid if
1. Higher than Big East champ (will be)
2. Ranked in top 16...

If Houston loses, all eyes will look at TCU to see if they can crack the top 16. If they don't, a Big 12 will likely get the last at-large bid.

There are 2 interesting ?
1. How far will Houston drop and also could a Baylor win jump Michigan in the BCS standings.

TCU fans rejoice...and hope they can jump 2 BCS spots to get in another BCS bowl.
