The interesting thing that your going to have is what do the voters do with VT who got thumped and really haven't beaten anyone, Houston who got ambushed at home, Oklahoma who got taken to the woodshed. Then you have Michigan State who beat Michigan but lost a close game do they stay ahead or fall behind and how far does Clemson jump after that win.

Baylor also leads Michigan in the CPU so the pollsters will have to vault them and that OU win doesn't look as good now what do the pollsters do

From everything I'm reading I can see ISU in the Holiday Bowl. Now that would be a really nice bowl game for the fans. If I'm following every thing right, the Pinstripe Bowl is out of the question. Still might have a shot at the Ticket City Bowl but that's slim.
If not the Holiday Bowl, how about the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl? Isn't that in San Fransico?

I hate going to these various websites and seeing a reference to our win over Oklahoma State...accompanied by the words "a bad team" or "bad loss".

We are not a bad loss. We are a competitive team with legit talent...anyone who has watched one of our last 6 games can say that. Granted, we've only gone 3-3 in those games, but we have been competitive in every one.

I can't wait until we throw a true middle finger up to the world when CPR takes us to our first BCS bowl game or the Cotton Bowl. I'm going to make a big prediction here: this will be within the next 4 years. In fact, it may even be by the time Barnett is a senior. We will win 10 games and make a BCS game. I have no logical reason for believing this, but for some reason, I just have a feeling...

I really think Okie St will be in the National Championship. Looking at the polls from last week they were #5 in the Harris and USA Today. Okie will certainly take #3 spot taking VT's votes since the lost, will probably take some of Stanford's votes, and will probably take some of Bama's votes. I think it's going to happen. The computer's were .950 for Bama and .930 for Okie. That should even jump since OU was #10.

It's all about the name on the jersey. Texas went 7-5, A&M went 6-6. If one of those teams had beaten Okla St, it wouldn't have been a bad loss. But if it was to 6-6 ISU, its a bad loss.

That's how Alabama is getting in the title game...name on the front of the jersey. If Texas was 11-1 rather than Okla St, you can bet they'd be ranked #2 right now...

Getting back to a 12 team conference would greatly help this. We've shown we can compete with the best teams in the South week in week out and out best shot would be winning the North and beating the South winner in the BIG XII championship game

But regardless, I too am drinking the kool aid and agree that we will see this newfound success sometime in the near future 12 team conference or not

I know that...but with computers having a large role in the BCS system, I hope the idiotic people who can't bring themselves to turn their TVs from the SEC Network are forced to view enough Oklahoma State highlights tonight after their blowout of OU. Apparently, only about 25-30% of them will have to pick OSU as #2 in order for them to make the title game.

I don't think TCU can get to 16 without Michigan getting to 14. If they both don't get there get ready for KSU vs Clemson in the orange if Okie state isn't in the title game

VT loses but won't drop outside Top 12 as Clemson was ranked #20.
Houston loses but will they drop from Top 14? Possibly.
Oklahoma loses big but due to name on jersey probably won't drop outside top 16.
Baylor wins and will move into Top 15, minimum.
Clemson wins and will move up to at least 17, if not into top 16.

I think TCU gets jumped by Clemson and Baylor moves up to jam both Michigan and TCU out of where they need to be. Then again, Jerry Palm over at CBS Sports says that BOTH Michigan and TCU will be in the BCS AND Oklahoma State will be in the Fiesta.

So, because he's traditionally completely whack (has us going to DC in the Military Bowl?), I'm going to assume OSU is in the National Championship, K-State is in the Orange, and somehow, Virginia Tech makes a BCS game even with their loss to Clemson as Michigan gets shut out of the top 14. It's either VT or Boise with that formula...toss up there.

Orange is set as WVU vs. Clemson...

Does that mean ISU gets Holiday bowl if Big 12 gets 2 in BCS?
