Anyone read that book yet?
Really good, and touching, I had to put the book down when it got to the bad stuff, can't seem to put it down though, just a really good book

I grew up in Pburg. Even though I knew a ton of the stuff in the book, I still couldn't put it down. Picked it up one Saturday afternoon and when I put it down, it was over 3 hours later and I was done.

Kinda hits home for me, being a football coach, just what he meant to the town and surrounding communities, is amazing!
I met Ed once at a clinic, he was just a great all around guy!

Got the book as a gift for Christmas and read it pretty fast. Knew of Coach Thomas but didn't know the kind of man he was. Loved the book. It's the only book I've read where I balled like a baby for those chapters that went over the day the shooting happened. Doubt there will ever be a book that hit me like that.

I keep this quote on a sticky note on my computer and pull it up when I'm feeling a lack of motivation:

"Every day that you get up out of bed, every day God gives you on this earth, is an opportunity for you. He gives you each day to do with it whatever you want. You can waste it, or you can use it for good. Just remember, what you choose to do with each day is very important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it, and you don't know how many days you will have. When tomorrow comes, today will be gone forever. All you will have is whatever you traded this day for."

I would definitely recommend it.

One thing I found weird was that Ed told Aaron I believe, what accounts to use on the facilities. Almost like he knew something was going to happen.

I don't know... I didn't really care for all the preachy stuff. On the other hand, you know what you're going to get when you pick it up.

Coach Thomas came in and gave that speech to one of my coaching classes at UNI. It was pretty awesome.

Due to school I haven't had much time to read it but I hope to finish it during spring break. Very good book though.
