The hillsides are a joke. I am one of the many that just won't go to a game if I have to stand on a hillside anymore. I would pay 3X as much for a real seat. Iowa game, Texas game, wasted money not having real seats, and if it is wet or cold those hillsides are huge deterrent from people going to games. Sure there will be times where it won't be full, that is the case with 95% of stadiums.

I've always been of the opinion it will start after this coming season. FB only facility first and then SEZ. So long as the team is competitive and we do another good job with season tickets, I think it starts after this year.

Hey rebecacy, has there been any talk about adding beer sales to Jack Trice? I think that would be a good way to raise funds for the SEZ and contribute revenue for the future. It seems to have been pretty successful for WVU this last year and I think it would be good for ISU as well.

Jamie Pollard was quoted in the Register a few months back, and he defiantly did not deny the possibility, in fact, he almost seemed open to the idea...

There would be multiple checks written, but Tier 1 money projections are in the works and that will close the gap tremendously on what is actually needed in private donations IMO.

Even if JP is opposed 'never, ever' is a long time.

I would disagree with JP's disapproval of it though. Pro arenas and stadiums largely get along fine with alcohol. There is no reason not to allow it in ours when we can make so much money from it. People are coming into our stadium loaded all the time, and that isnt changing anytime soon. Our AD even sell\provides it at other events (stage door, cy's house of trivia, etc) might as well make some money from it.

The people that keep objecting to this project will never understand that it has less to do with "selling out the stadium" and everything to do with stadium aesthetics. If you wanna be considered big time, you need to look big time.

Agreed. I also think it's a numbers thing. I would love to have a stadium with a capacity north of 60,000. Just seems way more big-time.

Ok, not trying to block the SEZ enthusiasm, but I thought that the priorities in order were: offices, press box, and SEZ in order.
If they are swapping the last two, I think that's great, I just didn't think the SEZ was ahead of the press box.
