That was a great episode. Wow. Can anybody explain the whole Shane being a walker thing?

that was a damn good episode

It appears everybody has the virus. But we will be kept in the dark as to why. We'll just know what the characters know. Perhaps that virus has been mutating.

Shane was acting strange the whole episode. Him slapping him self in the barn was odd. It makes me think he was infected through a wound or something and it was slowly taking him over.

They mentioned it with the cops in the town they took Randall to, and with randall-walker... no bites. If you die you become a walker. All are infected with the walker virus, its just dormant until you are killed (and walker bites are apparently toxic enough to kill every time). When Rick stabbed Shane, shane died, the virus kicked in, and he reanimated.

I think this shoots down the idea that Rick was warned at the CDC. If he had been told that they were all infected, he'd have put one in Shane's head after he was down.

And he wouldntve bothered considering hanging randall as he'd just end up a hanging zombie.

Crazy, crazy ****. I wonder if they're going to use Andrea as an antagonist now? Or maybe even Laurie? Obviously, zombies will be an antagonist, but they've got to have tension within the group, still, because it can't be all zombies all the time.

Or maybe the antagonist is someone outside the current group.

That could very well be. The finale will be jam-packed with action, so one won't be needed. The season 3 opener will likely be the same way, so they'll have a few episodes to possibly introduce a character that could replace Shane as antagonist.

If it follows the comic to any degree we will have the prison coming up and than the Governor, so plenty of antagonists on tap. The farm is adios after next week as the preview shows more zombies than a Hawkeye home game at Carver.

Still dislike that little creep Carl but old Hershel is turning out to be pretty cool.
