Royce White is a grown *** man and owned their posts. Tough to beat a team like that when they take what you were forced to give them. I hate seeing our season end, but it was the start of what feels like a dynasty in the making. Also UK fans were pretty cool to us in Louisville, and they didnt blow any windmill dunks like a *****.

Your team played great tonight but now they have the heavy burden of expectations. Everyone expects UK to be in the title game but what happens when those shots don't fall like they did tonight. I guarantee you there will be a game like we had where what you relied on all year wont be there. Does this team have the guts and heart to grind out a win when they don't their best game? That's what Champions do.

I'd say good luck but I can't. You have enough talent luck isn't needed. I'll reserve my well wishes to the other teams that do.

Nobody is going to stop Kentucky. They'd beat NBA teams, crap they have just as much talent as some NBA teams do.

Give me six first round lottery picks and in another three years, they would be like the Oklahoma City Thunder. Scary good. They gave us their A game and Cal was ripping the refs he was so nervous.

As I said before, as soon as the pairings were announced, I figured it would be UK vs Iowa State in the Round of 32. I'm not just a diehard UK fan, but also an avid follower and student of college basketball in general, so I knew how dangerous your team was. Now that we've played, my opinion hasn't changed.

I'm sure your game plan was to take away our strength -- the paint -- and allow us to shoot threes, which is our perceived weakness. But those who claim we can't shoot threes know nothing about our team. We don't shoot a lot of threes because we typically dominate inside. Why take threes when you can get dunks and layups? So while we didn't take a lot of threes this year, we hit a good percentage of the threes we took. We shoot 38% as a team. We rank around #250 in the country in 3PT attempts, but we're in the top 50 in 3PT percentage. When we take them, we hit a lot of them.

So, while this wasn't a typical game for us style-wise, I give your team credit for it. You did what you had to do to win. We got nothing from a 2nd team all-american (Gilchrist) and our 2nd leading scorer (Lamb) spent much of the game in foul trouble. I thought the refs sucked. Way too many touch fouls called, both ways. That shouldn't happen in the NCAA tourney.

My last point: Royce White. What a player! The only thing he lacks is a shooting stroke. Inside 15 feet he's a monster. We couldn't handle him for awhile, because no one on our team wanted to take a charge from him to stop his drives to the rim. But that changed when he said he was the best player on the floor. I think it was a 42-42 game when he did that, and it lit a fire in our team. That's just not something you do. Our players don't talk trash or hot dog in any way, so when Royce White did that, I think it changed the game. From that moment, we went on something like a 22-2 run. I think he's a great player, but that was a bad decision by him.

Seems like a lot of sour grapes in this thread.

We were picked to finish 8th in the conference, we finished 3rd. We were told we wouldn't be in the tournament or were barely on the bubble by "experts", yet we made it in. That UCONN was already penciled in to play Kentucky, yet we won. We just got beat by probably the best team in the nation. They beat us because they are a better team. Congrats Kentucky.

I'm proud of our team. And I know the future looks very bright.

OP is an idiot if he thinks UK doesn't talk trash. All they do is talk and wine about every friggin call, just like their fans who boo incessantly.

And what a dumb comment about Royce. He said the comment to the ISU fans. He didn't say it to UK and there's no way they even heard him. To suggest otherwise is just dumb. And by the way, he was the best player on the court last night. Nothing to do with not taking charges, UK's bigs simply could not match up with Royce. The reason Calipari wanted Royce White 2 years ago because he's just that damn good.
