Good moves for players his size. My guess is if he works hard he can really benefit from a better weight lifiting program.

Stay ripped my friend.

I think this is the key. He doesn't look very quick or explosive. Might find it tough in the Big 12 when everyone is as tall, but stronger and quicker.

I do love his caginess around the hoop, can use both hands, and looks like he can shoot it.

For all of the self annoited experts in this thread, what was Larry Birds vertical? How much elevation did he get on his outside shot?

His athleticism scares me.. Hopefully he can outsmart his defenders more than anything.. He's got a nice stroke though. I hope he can contribute right away.

Not to pick on you but to help alleviate your fears here are some facts for you.

On Feb 21,2012 Tilton School played Brewster Academy (Brewster won the National Prep School Championship, New Haven, CT this year for the second year in a row). In that game Georges scored 35 points.

Here is Brewsters committed roster:
Mitch McGary - Michigan
Jakarr Sampson - St Johns
TJ Warren - NC State
Aaron Thomas - Florida St
Semaj Christon - Xavier
Jalen Reynolds - Xavier

He is going to work hard to be a contributor for Iowa State.

Every one of us knows this. And as long as he sticks to it he'll be, or should I say stay, a fan favorite for sure.

Not too sure if I was using this quote correctly or not sorry for the technical glitch. I think its normal to wonder what parts of a players game will transition well into college ball and what adjustments will need to be made. The game is quicker and permits less mistakes so no doubt it will be an adjustment. I think expectations I have read on this board make sense. I see the talent in New England and at the national level Georges plays against now and he is always the other teams target for double team etc... Let's see how this summer goes and then we'll get more answers next winter

It's not your fault it looks like the cyclonefanatic app has a little bug right now.

I agree with everything with everything you said there. I think his athleticism is his biggest weakness and I'm pretty sure he has admitted as much and has worked hard to improve that. I imagine it will get exponentially better in the next 1.5 years or so working with a Big 12 strength and conditioning staff. The good news is that he is so skilled that he still produces. That is the key. If he adds athleticism he will be extremely good for us in the future.

There are many examples of players that excelled at the collegiate and professional level, that weren't necessarily the greatest athletes, but were still productive because they were smart, played with great intelligence and awareness, were fluid around the basket because of body position and a natural talent for finding holes and good touch.

When I see Niang's productivity against top notch competition, I'm not too worried that he doesn't look like a slam dunk champion. He'll produce for us and that's what it's all about.

Thanks, I believe that Georges will be fine. I am just like Fred....not scared.

May I offer a suggestion? Don't reply to hatred and ignorant posts. Better yet, use the Ignore feature to avoid having to read their posts.
