He publicly has but, as previously suggested, if a schollie number issue exists, he could be nudged to a JUCO by Fred.

I doubt the kid wants to go to Iowa State badly enough to go to JUCO for a year, when he could just go to Creighton or another school.

1)Uthoff - If ISU is his choice, he went through a lot to join us. And Bo Ryan must have thought he was going to be a good player to go through what he did.
2)Lockett - His talent would definately help us next year. Too bad it is only one year.
3)Pelle - Looks very talented, but seems to have some risk with waiting for him. Fred seems to have a great handle on this kind of thing.

I would like to request that you place a bet against this happening.

My bet was solid. All I needed was for ISU to show up..

The last laugh was on the team itself because they hosed themselves into a matchup with UK.

That game against UT was a fail on so many levels. The money I lost is a pittance compared to the opportunity lost by the team.

I almost didn't watch the UCONN game I was still ****** at them.

Back to topic...Uthoff isn't playing JUCO regardless of any wager I may make.

Go watch a highlight video of Norvell Pelle. Than go and try to even FIND one on Eric McKnight. Big difference

Norvell Pelle has competed and dominated at times against the best AAU players in the country. Eric McKnight was a young kid who looked to have talent bud hadn't shown he could play at all when ISU signed him.

Pelle can have the most immediate impact and help us win more games than the other two. He can be a game changer with his shot blocking ability. He can also dribble, run the floor, and finish with either hand. Skill-wise, he's a potential pro. To me, it's not even close between him and the other two.

I hope you don’t assume the tournament loss to UT was the sole reason (or even the main reason) that ISU got an 8 seed and also happened to wind up in UK’s subregion.

I think a win would have prevented it.

What do you mean? The risk with Pelle is he won't qualify academically, there is not much Fred can do to help him.

Coach said at the knockout tournament there is only one scholarship available. I assume he meant that Bubu is getting one. Bubu deserves it. He should be rewarded. Anyways, I would rather have pelle because he gives the team some much needed size and (hopefully) four years of elegibility, academic foucus and draft pending. It's a long shot, and I don't really see it happening. I bet one of the guards take it, futhering the depth at a posistion that is already deep.

interesting that a thread started by me talking about this was mocked, and is now being used as legitimate evidence.

Link or it never happened?

I think the fact that some people thought he wasn't talking about bubu was what was being mocked.

How do you know this before he even plays a single game of D1 Bball?? I amazed at the sheer amount of folks that think he is a rock solid, play right away type of guy when we have nothing but a few videos against HS competition to judge him against. Same goes for any recruit.

Look...he LOOKS like a heck of a player, BUT I don't know how that will translate to the Big 12.

I do know that Lockett can play Big 12 ball and contribute. He has proven as much at this level.
