Who says I wasn't happy? I'm just confused. I said I trust the staff's judgement.

Some of our best players we've ever had at ISU have been walk-ons. So it's not like it really matters how many stars are after their names. I'm just curious how the staff even found out about him, or what his story is? Pretty under the radar.
Hurst L.D. Bell isn't THAT small of a school. They put out prospects with regularity.

Kinda strange that nobody has really ever heard of this kid and that basically all his videos are like controlled scrimmages or something?

I trust the staff on this one, but it will be interesting to hear more about this kid and why nobody else is even showing any interest in him.

Rhoads will probably start talking about these guys at the next Gridiron Club event. This may be a great steal by CPR.

Starters are not set. Anyone could get beat out. Who knows what kids are just getting on campus and beat out other players. Much like leonard johnson did.

This guy has one of the more impressive highlight tapes as any of our recent commits. I have a feeling our staff is gonna have to hold off some other Big 12 schools on this kid.

Yeah... nobody else in the conference probably even knows who this kid is, but now they will look into him. It's happened before to us. I just hope this kid keeps his word and stays with the Cyclones.

As for position... is Kamari strictly going to be a safety, or does anyone think he might be able to grow into a LB? He played LB in high school, correct?

Could start for whom? The starters are set, and CPR talked near the end of Spring drills about possibly redshirting Mutcherson because of the rust of two years away from even S&C.

Cross knows more than you concerning these things.

Not to derail the thread but back to Mutcherson starting. A defensive coach told me that he is as talented as a safety as we've had during his time at Iowa State. Much more talented than David Sims. But he also said that he was very rusty having not played in over 2 years and made it sound like he wouldn't play

Heard this multiple times, so if he is rusty it makes perfect sense to RS him this year since we are in decent shape at safety.

Wow. That's great news. I'm feeling pretty darn good about the future of the safety position if Mutcherson is that good, and Jared Brackens is supposed to be REALLY good too.

Idk he looks like a SS but I bet by judging by his tape he could make the change to the hybrid position that we go to when we go to our nickel package with two LB's.
