I think there was but it didn't last long in the black hole next to that First National Bank.
This was planet sub.

whoa whoa whoa, why isn't planet sub in this argument?
Little bit more expensive, but worth it.

It's gone...unless there's more locations.

I think that was Planet Sub. I don't think Ames has had one, because if we did...HOLY **** I would have been there.
We do have downtown deli and that place is solid (especially since the decline of West Street Deli).

Hmmm never had Casey's subs. Does anybody know if the Casey's in Waukee or any Casey's nearby has the sub shop?
The first time I got Casey's i thought it was coincidence with morning wood.. Turns out their pizza was just that good.

The problem with sub places revolves around hype. When I lived in Auburn (unfortunately) they had a place called Momma Goldberg's that was supposed to be the second coming. It was...meh.
I then went to Firehouse Subs (a chain) and thought it was awesome! I've never had Planet Sub so maybe it is good.
For me, Sub City is on another level (one in which West Street Deli used to be on). But then again, I don't want to start the hype machine.
As a man with fat-guy knowledge of sub shops, I bet Casey's slaps together a mean sandwich. Thank you OP, because I had no clue they even made them.

That was a Planet Sub, I believe.
