Tied for second so far after the first round. Weird being done by 8 in the morning. He's having a heck of a week, will be interesting to see how he hangs in there. Love the British Open, like playing golf in somebody's cow pasture.

I live in Eastern Iowa so I'm sick of him even though he's a good guy. Hawk fans masturbate to him so it's really annoying.

That part of it is quite annoying, but he is an Iowan so I have to root for him a little. The other thing is that he has to say something about JC as his savior every time someone talks to him, I think everybody's got that by now.

Being from CR, I hope he does well. I know he is a hawk fan, bla, bla. I have friends that are hawks as well. I'd like to know if any Colts fans on here cheered for Bob Sanders when he played there. He did say after the 2002 game at iowa that losing to ISU was the worst thing ever. By the way, I am a Vikings fan also and I hope Greenway plays his *** off.

I agree with this. Him and Tebow and plenty of others.

he is a great guy and I have no hard feelings against him for being a hawk.

probably is my religious beliefs but I have no problem with him saying that stuff. He isn't pushing it on you and imo I think it shows he really is what he says he is compared to someone who says they are a believer but doesn't outwardly show it.

Im from cr, I'm a huge fan of his regardless of his flaws (hawk fan). Most of my friends and a lot of my family are hawks, does that mean i dont care and love them, "sorry ur car broke down, suck it! hawk fan." Umm no.

I am never a fan of the JC stuff just because I don't think it is needed in interviews, but he does it quickly and gets it out of the way. So that doesn't bother me that much. He isn't out of the course praying or doing the Tebow kneel, at least.

He has been striking his driver so well. If he can keep doing that he will have a chance. He can keep the ball in play and that is a must at the Open. It will be interesting to see how he plays in the wind tomorrow if it blows like it can in the afternoon.

I have always wondered how people would take someone thanking Satan, Pagan sun god, etc., during an interview. We are always supposed to accept people thanking JC so why can't someone thank Satan since we are supposed to be tolerant of religions.

Not trying to send it to the cave here, just think it would be interesting if someone did and watch the reactions.

People can't get good at sports by worshiping satan, you know that!

He's great for the state of Iowa, but not necessarily Iowa State University.

He's a drama queen on the golf course though and a bit conceited. If only Nate McCoy or someone from ISU could get in the big tour and give us cyclones someone to really root for.
