The "Dream Hypothesis" is ridiculous. It's just internet movie "experts" trying to make themselves look smart by coming up with some complicated interpretation of what should be a very straightforward ending. Just because Nolan directed Inception, doesn't mean every movie he makes will have to have some complicated "dream" ending. Bruce Wayne lives.

Let me know how that is (I'm sure it's incredible!) and if it's worth a trip. The nearest to me I believe is an hour away (if they even have it).

Yeah I'm wondering if it's worth it as well. I have heard the screen resolution switches back forth between full IMAX to standard during some of the dialogue scenes because the IMAX cameras were too loud and it was too difficult to try and do voice over.

Not sure if that would be overly irritating or not.

I enjoyed Bane a bit more just because of the brute force and really cool/intimidating voice. This is not saying that he is "better than" the Joker. And it certainly doesn't compare to Ledger's performance. Just out of personal opinion I like the intimidating nature better.

However, I know most wouldn't agree. And that's totally okay. That's the beauty of movies and such. To each their own.

Bane's voice was far from intimidating. It was kind of like an almost high pitched squeal. Half of the time you couldn't understand what he was saying.

Okay, just saw it for a second time. Waited to post until I saw it again. Wanted to make sure I didn't change my thinking.

Probably #3 of the trilogy for me. It was good. Very good even. But not great.

My issues with it...
1. The part with the prision pit was jammed in there. Wasn't necessary.
2. Didn't like the timeline of events. I get that it is a superhero movie but 5 months? And Batman makes it back just in time? And forget the whole back thing. Come on.
3. Didn't feel the chemistry between Bruce and... Her. Trying not to give away too much. Didn't like that last scene of them together.

I loved Alfred's part. Wished it was bigger. Wanted more of Bane too. Hated his mask and voice. As others have said, I thought it was hard to understand on occasion. But was intrigued by his story line and character. And I liked the cops standing together and charging the guns. Hard to believe more didn't fall when facing automatic weapons but I guess the League of Shadows didn't practice their marksmanship.

Aside from those things, a very solid movie. I would see it again for a 3rd time. Probably an A- for me.

Yes, the chemistry between Bruce and "the woman" was not good. This makes me think that there were scenes with them that were cut. It just seemed to sudden. That is the one part of the movie that has been bothering me.

I saw it Sunday in IMAX. It does switch back and forth, but I didn't really notice it all that much while watching. I recommend seeing the IMAX version!

IMAX was good - but again as everyone has said, bane's voice does get annoying/hard to understand

kinda ticked me off they never showed his face/really explained why he had it past the point of the flashback where alot of people almost did something to him

Testifying
My character input:

SPOILERS BELOW

Why have Scarecrow back for the third film only to play that small part? It just felt thrown in there to me for the audience to think its funny/cool that he is playing the judge. He was a huge foe of Batman once, and in this he's a Mickey Mouse type of character.

While I really don't care for Anne Hathaway's movies, she did a decent job as Catwoman, her body movements (hips, legs) were perfect for it. Didn't care for her 'good' twist at the end.

Bane was a cool character but if his weakness was the mask, why not just shoot it or pull it off at any time. Couldn't a Gotham sniper have taken him out, couldn't Batman have pulled it off in the first fight. Also, did we ever see him really die?
Hearing him talk was painful at times, I felt like it was a Darth Vader type of thing.
Also, if he saved the girl at the prison, wouldn't he would be a middle aged Bane? The timeline for him and her aging did not match up to me. She looked like she was in her mid 30's for the role, wouldn't he be 40 easily?

JGL role as the cop was really well done, I think it would have been good to have him develop more in the Robin character 1/2 way to 2/3 the way thru the movie with Alfred's help. He then could help fight in the end.

Movie was good, my number 2 in the series.

I really liked the movie. It wasn't perfect but it was really good. I especially liked the ending.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!

As others have stated, I also didn't like "her". It was a nice twist, don't get me wrong, but I just didn't buy that she was the mastermind. Also, she let herself goa bit since inception and her physique doesn't seem befitting of a member of the league.

I really liked Bane as a character, right up until he was turned into a puppy dog at the end. I loved Tom Hardy's vocal inflection and it's supposed to be tough to understand with that much gear on your face. I would have much preferred it if they had kept him as the mastermind they set him up to be though. In the end, he was just a trained attack dog and a puppet. Not as cool.

I loved the ending though. JGL is an awesome actor and that he played his character perfectly. I think him coming back as a second bat or as nightwing could produce some awesome movies even if Nolan doesn't do them. They are set up to be very good. Also, I'm glad that Bale is done with them as well. He was vbery good, but you don't want to get sick of the same guy in the same role.

I really liked Anne Hathaways performance. I believed that she was really just someone doing what she had to do and I bought the redemption angle.

Finally, the whole fixed autopilot cought me completely by surprise. I actually thought the sacrafice ending was very believable. However, I think it is awesome that they figured out how to come full circle and make everything work.

My only question is, will JGL jave any assistance from Fox or Alfred in the future? He's gonna need help and training. Unless of course they want his character to build up and not be very good to start out. So many ways they can go with that. I really hope they pull it off.

Bane's voice was just stupid. He sounded like Darth Vader doing a bad Sean Connery impression. Every time he spoke just jarred me out of the immersion of the film.

Other than that, I was sufficiently entertained.

So I saw the movie in IMAX last night. It was excellent and the vibrations/sound was incredible. The only time it was annoying when it went from IMAX to Regular was when Bane was letting the prisoners out of Blackgate prison. It kept going back to the commissioner which wasn't in IMAX and Bane who was. Other than that, it wasn't really that noticeable.

In DSM for the week...anyone know if the theater at Merle Hay is decent enough to go to? Don't really want to drive over to Jordan Creek.
