Black is big in the Nebraska program. The blackshirts are revered in the program. Because of this I can't believe Adidas didn't go with black shirts. They're so out of touch.

i agree that i love the old uni and would not in theory want it changed... but NU needs help with top recuirts these days.. this thing matters and makes them have something new, cool...

They should have put the skull and cross bones of the black shirts on the helmet though...

I wondered about that. Maybe, since the defense is known as "The Blackshirts" they didn't want the whole team wearing black jerseys?

The AD does not like black uniforms in any sport. As a compromise and for this alternate uniform to go down adidas compromised with something other than a black uniform.
