Other than the obvious, a Cyclone victory, what are you looking to see tomorrow from the game?

Personally, I want to see an improved offense. Less mistakes, less turnovers, ability to keep the defense off the field.

How good the kickers and quarterbacks look should be on the top of everyone's list

Similar to others I will be watching #2 to see if his decision making has improved from last year.

I will also be watchin the DL. Tulsa is a good rushing team from what I have heard and they return some pretty good backs. I would love to see our DL "contain" or even better shut down the rushing offense and make Cody Green beat us through the air.

I was thinking about this last night and outside of the obvious (improved QB play, less penalties/turnovers) I would love to see Shontrelle shine. If all of our RBs have a good game I would be thrilled, but for him especially becasue of what he went through last season and it will be very reassuring to see him return to form.

I too will be looking at the offense. I'm not too concerned with the defense with Wally in charge, and guys like Klein and Knott running the show.

Our offense HAS to be improved though. Under Herman, we were not even an average offense.... ever. Under Herman we were a downright bad offense. Usually ranked in the 100's out of like 120 total teams.

I just want to see us move the ball and put points on the board. Hopefully it is with the run for the most part, but it doesn't really matter to me how we do it, we just HAVE to do it. For a team that ran an uptempo, no huddle, spread offense... we have been terrible offensively. I for one, was not sad to see Mr. Herman go at all. It would be hard to do any worse IMO.

Honestly, just win. I don't care how it happens. Just get the first win under our belts. Tulsa is a good team.

Football. Win or lose, it's a great day to be alive and be a cyclone.

Also, a statement game from the defense.

I'm too worried about QB and kicker play to really want to see it, but I sure am excited for other things.

1) Bundrage, Daniels, and Brun. I want to see what these guys bring to the table.
2) Blitzes. To see how confident the coaches really are in the secondary.
3) I'm looking for the interior O-Line to play much better than they did last year in the opener. I think that sometimes practicing against the same guys over and over gets you complacent, and I don't want to see our O-Line show up like they did last year.
4) Shontrelle. He looked so good last year against Iowa. I just want to see him run again!

I would like to see the defense come out with fire in their eyes and absolutely shut down Tulsa at the start of the game. I would also like the offense to play very business like, take care of the ball and grind out a win without the last second heroics. Not blow Tulsa out, but just clearly beat them in all phases.

I will be terrified if Shontrelle is slow to get up at any point in time.....
